Just found this site and am curious as to how many other Canadians there are on here. I am just getting into scrapbooking and need all the HELP I can get.

Zergas is a "fatherless son" who sets up trades with people in this (and other forums) and who never reciprocates when it is his turn. He was outed in the forum (including his real name, his ebay ID and his address) but the posting was quickly removed by the gardenweb police (doubtlessly Spike would have left the posting for a couple days claiming technical problems in removing it, though someone would likely have ended up in Disneyland over it). I didn't manage to save his address (though I'm sure others here have it, just ask via email) but I do recall he lives in a well-to-do area of Michigan (think BH 90201). He has aliases in other forums (and likely by now here and on ebay as well) so if people seem hesitant to trade with us Mi people Zergas is likely the reason. I did recall the name of that nursery in Troy that might have Black Mission (though certainly not at this time of year). It is Telly's and their exotic selection is second to none in this area (that I have found at least). Colasanti's also has figs from time to time, though not Black Mission as far as I know. ~Chills

Thanks for your reply mogator88. Just my luck I went to their European website and found several couches I loved only to find that I could only buy couches made in the Canadian factory and all my favorites are not make there. I should move to Europe, I'd have an easier time finding stuff I would love to live with. I appreciate your response especially since the store didn't have any Lind couches on the floor at this time. I will seriously consider Lind and will wait till the store has some in the store to sit on. I know the leather swatch they gave me is beautiful thick leather. Sky

Sounds like you've opened it already, not that it makes that much difference. I wouldn't download any attachments without scanning and depends on what email you use, but I use Yahoo for a lot of things and they're pretty good about scanning for viruses. Set your settings to read it in text rather than HTML and you're far safer for reading email and not having "plants" grow. You seem to recognize the person so I would go ahead and check a little closer. It's not like it's something totally strange to you. Another option is something like PopPeeper. Set to text only and read the email through there. You have very little to fear opening a email in a text only mode. Another option is use a disposable account and respond to see if you know the person or not. If it's trash, it'll go to the junk account rather than the account you use more often.

Hi Laurel, I'm sorry you're not getting any responses from Canadian growers, you might have better luck if you post in the spring so I wouldn't give up on sources for sans yet. I'm in Florida and a sansevieria collector as well as aroids. I've traded sansevierias all over the world over the decades but haven't been able to send plants successfully to folks in Canada. I think they are irradiating packages as they come into the country, and so plants are destroyed. I don't get that since there's almost zero chance non-native plants would survive one of your winters. I hope you're able to find Canadian commercial sources and private collectors from which to buy or trade. All the best, Russ

I, too, am from Canada. I live in Oxford Mills, Ontario which is near Ottawa. For anyone in this area, a new store just opened in Bells Corners that is absolutely wonderful. It's called Endless Memories.Tons of great stuff.

I am I am!!!! I live in Ingersoll Ont. that is near London. Are any of you close??? I would love to meet up with other scrappers as I really don't have anyone that is close that scraps. I do have tons of great talented cyber scrapper friends. I went to scrapa-palooza and meet the owner of Timeless Memories and she's a doll we have kept in touch and plan on going to this new Scrapfest in Burlington Nov 4th 9-4pm Are any of you interested in going??? It is $50.00 and that includes 3 classes, a goodie bag, lunch and prizes. I know I know it's expensive but I am desperate!!!!!!

I have a friend that scraps "whom I met on line> that has just opened up an on line scrap store please check it out. She doesn't have too much yet but keep watching she has some orders on and I know she was making a huge one last night. What she does have is beautiful.

Yes, I am from Edmonton, Alberta. I have been scrapping for a year now and absolutely love it. I have not done it for a couple of months because I am saving the money for X-mas. I am getting anxious to start again. I am working on an album for my two year old.

I'm in Alberta. Haven't done a scrapbook yet, but did buy a program for the computer to try it out. Not the same as what you all are doing, probably, I have to scan pictures and put them on pages and they almost look 3-D, but aren't. Still have to figure it out.

Hi All,

well another Canuk here YEAH !!!! I love this board but usually I`m over at the crafts and decorations forum. Been scrappin for a few years and have alot of fun. I live in NewBrunswick, anyone close to here?

Anyone know where I can buy some vellum paper or parchment? I usually order online from and American store but anyone know where in Canada I can order from?
