Photo Paper

I have a digital camera and would like to print out pictures from it on to glossy paper, but for the life of me I can not find out if the Epson Photo Quality Glossy Paper is acid free, could someone please help me with some info regarding this.

PS As you can probably tell by these last posts I am VERY new to scrapbooking

I just use Kodak Premium Picture Paper (man on a sailboard on the front of it). I don't think you'll find acid free photo paper, not even from the developers, but if you put the photo's on acid free paper, it will help preserve your pictures. (from what I've read....) The quality of the pictures is really good, especially if you remember to set your printer on the 'best' quality and the right paper type.

Photo paper at Big Lots

Mary, sorry I'm so long in answering where to find them. They are in the electronics dept. I just asked the cashiers and they knew what I was talking about. I have been in 3 different Big Lots and all of them had some. I was just in one Saturday and they still had lots left. They even had the photo paper which I hadn't seen at the other 2. I made one of the bags for my daughter to give to her friend and it was a big hit at school.

Clair I don't think your problem is with the printer. More likely you will need to adjust the photos prior to printing. A small jpg file with a density or resolution of 72 pixels per inch will not be anywhere near as sharp as a much larger bmp format at 150 or 300 pixels per inch photo. If you have no other photo editing program you might consider downloading the free Irfanview - and the plugins as they are a major part. Then you can open a photo, click Image/Enhance colours and adjust till you are happy with the result. Irfanview is quite small so even if you are on dialup it will not take long to download. I just got a digital camera. There are websites that will process your photos just like a regular photo lab. Family PC had an issue on digital photography and it listed some web sites that offer this service. www.fujifilm.net, www.kodak.photonet.com, www.ofoto.com, www.photoaccess.com, www.photoloft.com, www.sfw.com, www.shutterfly.com. All of these got good ratings from the testers. sfw.com is having a promotion, you get your first 24 photos sent and processed for FREE. I just sent mine! I don't know how it will work out yet.
