Photo Paper

I have a digital camera and would like to print out pictures from it on to glossy paper, but for the life of me I can not find out if the Epson Photo Quality Glossy Paper is acid free, could someone please help me with some info regarding this.

PS As you can probably tell by these last posts I am VERY new to scrapbooking

I just use Kodak Premium Picture Paper (man on a sailboard on the front of it). I don't think you'll find acid free photo paper, not even from the developers, but if you put the photo's on acid free paper, it will help preserve your pictures. (from what I've read....) The quality of the pictures is really good, especially if you remember to set your printer on the 'best' quality and the right paper type.

You are better off staying with the brand of paper that matches your printer. The inks are designed for that type of paper. Kodak inks are different from HP inks. I think you can buy large format HP paper - you may have to order it though. I wish I had a large format printer sometimes. I have had some posters printed at Wal-Mart. Those turned out really neat! I didn't like their regular photo printing (8x10's were awful!), but the posters were excellent. Different machines. I did not order my posters online...I did it on the machine in the store. Much cheaper in the store, than online ordering. Go figure.

First of all I would color photo copy the old newspaper clippings. Newspaper clippings are VERY acidic, and will crumble over time. (acid turns photos yellow also) If you must use the orginial newspaper clippings DO NOT put them on the same page as the photos! Mount them on a sepreate sheet on the opposite page as the photos. For glue, buy some that says it's acid free and dries clear. Your paper and page protectors should also state acid free and archival safe. HTH Love Penny
