The stone is El Dorado, Fieldledge and the color is Veneto. We also used it on our interior fireplace and our outdoor fireplace. We used slightly different grout techniques and colors so they each vary some.

Hi Lindy, I knew when I saw your home it would be beautiful inside as well as outside - your taste and ability to put it all together is fantastic! Your paint colors are perfect, rooms are decorated just right (not over the top) plus I loved your kitchen (we will have bronze accents, too), the girl's rooms, and the theatre. I am drooling and wishing I could get on with this stuff right now! We are still at the design and elevation phase which keeps on going and going. I wish the Decorating forum had the same kind of gallery as the kitchen so that Garden Webbers could list their deco products. Thank you SO MUCH for the Eldorado Stone information - that really is amazing stuff and one that I will check into. That's great that you can use it inside as well for fireplaces, etc. And, again, thanks for sharing your warm and beautiful home - I noticed a guest room - ummmm... ;>)

Hey Kulagal, there are gallery threads with bits of people's homes here and there. But it's not as detailed and complex as the Finished Kitchens Gallery that Starpooh has spent so much time on. I enjoyed the home front thread alot.

parma, thank you so much! I always feel a little like the odd man out here with so many beautifully decorated homes and such lush landscaping. If my house turned out okay, it was because of all the generous folks here that helped me along over the last 18 months. ;c)

The dining room set is made by a company called Sansegal. We got it when we went furniture shopping in NC (Furnitureland South)

artielange, the main paint color in the house is Restoration Hardware's Cappuccino. The dining room is immediately to the right of the entry and it's RH Flax. ;c)

Lindy, just saw your fabulous pics...looks more like a Street of Dreams home than a typical SW Portland item :) Such smart use of the space under a balcony for some very usable outdoor area (fireplace, grill). A very nice outside area in back, yet it definitely looks within the UGB kind of footprint (sidewalk up close in the front)--I'm really curious now as to where you're located (don't say anything specific on the forum, though).

For folks who aren't from here, Portland did a very smart thing, IMO (although it made househunting hard for us because we actually wanted a garden!) -- they made a boundary around the city that dictated relatively small size infill lots when building in that area. It's called the Urban Growth Boundary, and it's prevented Portland from becoming like Charlotte or Atlanta or even like the Raleigh-Durham area we used to live in, where everyone had at least 1/4 acre and sprawl was getting intense already back just at the turn of the 2000s.

olliesmom, they are Pittsburg Paint colors on the exterior (our painter prefers a local brand called Rodda and matched all the colors we wanted)

The main body is Eiffel Tower and the Trim is called Granite They look more taupey in real life. On film, they come across more gray. Here's the sample chips online which I think are a bit more how they look to my eye in person.
