For an occasional cut, an angle grinder with diamond blade would work on marble, possibly granite. For multiple cuts that won't be adequate. If you are renting a good wet saw, it should come with a good diamond blade, you shouldn't have to provide your own. Our tool rental place was $40 for half day, $60 for full day. You could consider doing it a half day at a time, just so you don't go crazy with boredom of the same thing over and over. Also, make sure you have good ear-protection when using the saw, it's quite loud when cutting. The wet saw was necessary not for a clean polished edge (which it did) but simply because the granite is just too hard to do any quantity. I don't know if it could be scored and broken. The only reason to have a tub sitting in the kitchen is so you do not have to walk to the bin for each tea bag or apple core. These can certainly collect for 24 hours before becoming stinky. If I peeled 5 pounds of potatoes I would probably bring them and the waiting tea bag and apple core all to the bin. The reason I have the bin indoors is so I do not have to brave the snow. I also like to give a look over the system every day or every few days.

I clicked on the link in the other thread. The page is Java driven, so they have to make sure they have Java. There are two different Java downloads. So sorry that I cannot remember the difference between them or their individual purposes. If I'm not mistaken, there are Java Script and Java Runtime Environment, but don't hold me to those. I found it very confusing but was able to get them both downloaded. That was many months ago, so I don't remember. After you get them downloaded, you want to make sure to enable them in your browser. I never meant for it to sound like anyone was lacking with help or responses. Also he does not hit me/never has. I do not need a shelter. I guess what I need is just a place to vent. And yes maybe encouragement. I feel if I could get him into counseling many things would change. He is not a complete Jerk. I often blame his parents. Everything to them always came down to nickles and pennies. He is now the same. But in a sick way. Our home was paid when he was 34 and I was 31. He is a very hard working man. I just feel as he has gotten older it is now a sickness. One I cannot take. This is why I was hoping to vent maybe some advice and maybe not feel so alone. I never meant to make anyone here feel as if they were not helping. If I did, I am very sorry. Maybe this is the place to vent/maybe not I just really need to talk. Days like yesterday were awful. Today not much better other than I can tell he feels bad(well in his clueless way) I just need a place to yell and maybe in time find some advice that can get him help. Although I am more than willing to go with him. But as of late things have gotten so out of hand I no longer know if I want to try. Other than I know I love this man. But I also know he needs help, Just not sure how much more I am willing to take! Just honestly in a very confused place.
