I was just over at Perlick's website looking at Factory Seconds (I have one already) and I noticed that there are some WITH wood doors and some that have doors that you can panel. I am pretty shocked reading the price quotes you are all getting for quartzite. Here in Miami the price range for quartzite is from $30-$80. I think it might be that they come right from Brazil to the port of Miami. They come by the boatloads and the yards are full of them. I have walked so many stone yards in Hialeah and they are chock full of them. Here in Miami wealthy South Americans are buying up cheap (to them) condos and real estate and gutting and renovating so the demand for granite, marble and quartzite is always there. I personally got my quartzite for $27/sq ft thanks to my fabricator. Seriously it would behoove to look in Miami and have it driven to you. If you need 3 slabs like I did that's like a savings of $20,000. I think the average slab is 9x7 ft, x $27/sq ft, x 3 slabs. Do the math. Even if you go with a higher per sq ft price of $75 the savings are still substantial...just short of $10,000. I don't know who you would get to drive it but perhaps the yards themselves know who will do it. I have personally seen some gorgeous slabs of Madre Perola in person here and they were positively dreamy. I almost went with it but my cabinets turned out with more of a yellowish tone and the Gold Macauba went well. I am in Hialeah a few times a week with my my renovation and if anyone wants me to snap a few pics of quartzite slabs and get a few quotes I'd be happy to do so. BTW when factoring your countertop costs, here in Miami you buy the whole slab regardless of how little you need. You buy the whole thing. Not sure if it is done that way all over but find out first before you calculate your costs. Also, the price did vary depending on the "type" of yard you went to. One "designer" stone place called Marbles of the World had quartzite slabs for twice the price of other yards. These types of places are frou-frou beautifully interior decorated showrooms where the sales girls are dressed to the nines and offer coffee and pastries while you wait and all their slabs are kept in an indoor, air conditioned warehouse. If been to both types. The one I eventually bought from was outdoors just north of Miami Airport, dirty, complete with junkyard dogs and hardly anyone spoke English. My fabricator is bilingual and he came in very handy. The slabs there were just as gorgeous and probably came off the same shipping container. Just my 2 cents!

Here are my two favourite fillings for Pot Stickers. The original recipe calls for making your own "noodles" , I don't I use store bought circular won ton wrappers. If you can't get those then I can give you the pastry recipe. Shrimp Filling 1/2 pound shrimp, deveined 1/2 pound finely ground pork 1/4 cup each chopped green onion, and chopped mushrooms 1 cup fresh bamboo shoots, chopped 1 garlic clove minced 2TBSP oyster sauce or soy sauce Combine all ingredients. Makes enough for 4 dozen pot stickers. Pork Filling 1 lb ground pork 1/4 cup chopped onion 1 T grated ginger 1 1/2 T soy sauce 1 T sherry 3/4 tsp sesame oil Combine all ingredients. Makes 30-40 To assemble the pot stickers place a generous tsp or so of the mixture into the centre of a circular won ton wrapper. Wet the edges and seal in a half moon shape. Pinching the sides as needed. Set pot stickers down firmly, seam side up so the pot sticker sits flat. Cook 12 at a time. For each batch use 1 TBSP oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Set pot stickers in the pan, seam side up until golden on the bottom. Add a 1/3 cup chicken broth to the pan and cover. Steam for 10 minutes. Uncover and continue cooking until all liquid is gone. Serve hot with soy sauce, and chile oil on the side. PS: I have several good dipping sauce recipes if you are interested.

Just guessing, but I am thinking that this isn't seal failure, rather as HomeSealed suggested, this may be a case where the moisture was already there when the dual pane glass was manufactured and it was trapped inside the IG unit. It might be interesting if you lay a straight edge along the glass, preferably corner to corner, to see if the glass surface is flat. I am not sure that it is, I think that it may be slightly concave. IMO there's a much better than even chance that the glass came from China already assembled and this might be a manufacturing issue right from the factory. If the straight edge check shows that the glass isn't flat then it's not going to get better and needs to be replaced under warranty, but if the glass is flat then I would agree with HomeSealed and give it a little time to see what happens, but if it doesn't go away within a week or so then again it should be a warranty claim.
