Does creasing matter

Hi Folks

Luxury fabrics. We love to use them and they can be lovely to wear, but boy do the wrinkle and crease like crazy!

Anyone wearing a beautifully pressed linen outfit will look like they slept in it by the time they get to work. But at least they are cool and comfortable!

I have some gorgeous (and bargain priced £3.50/m about $7/yd) 30%silk 70% cotton satin, sand coloured. It's more of a satin faced suiting weight fabric. Would look great in either a fitted jacket or in straight leg trousers. But...

Would it just be pointless to make up a jacket for a friend's birthday only for her to realise that everytime she moves another crease will appear? Lining it will help some, but stress points (like inner elbow) are always going to show marks.

Would you bother? Or should I abandon the idea and make something else for her?

Thanks,

AJ
