Hi Used to do that every winter. Spectacular but declined when warm weather returned There is a hybrid called "Sunpatients" that is far more heat tolerant. Everybody raves about them but I have not tried them Went with lobelia, verbena this year My sole waterlily eats up every square inch so limited to winter for "floating gardens" Putting in some Asian lotus right now so that will probably be the end of the floaters gary

Rose, I am so sorry that your thoughtful gesture was shadowed with your mom's distastefulness. I could see my own mother being like that, but I chose to no longer acknowledge her for my own reasons. I think you are wonderful for having been thoughtful, composed, and staying on the higher ground. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that the happy memories of your husband help to lighten the sadness and missing in your heart. I can only imagine how you must feel, and my heart aches for you.

Hi JYG ~ Is your recuperation going well? Sure hope so. You may have already posted, but the past couple of weeks I haven't been here as regularly as I had intended to be so I may have missed a post. I hope you had a nice Mother's day and birthday. I think that's cool to celebrate them both on the same day. Have you been able to get out and do any yard work at all? I recall you being really sore after doing it the first time after your surgery, but that's understandable. Just take care of yourself and don't overdo. Linda
