Thank you all for your comments!! As I mentioned, it is just great to be able to share with you. I don't have any friends who are interested in gardening, let alone ones who are 'rose nuts'! Actually amazing how this forum makes the world seem so small with members spread all over the globe although most of you are in the US. Irisgal, Agapanthus would be great between the roses - I used to grow them when I still lived in South Africa. Unfortunately, they are not winterhardy here. Beth - Golden Monica is just great and thanks to you she is now in my garden!!! The blooms last forever and she hasn't shown any signs of PM or BS! Blue River on the other hand, is the WORST this year for BS - defoliated completely! As for Sutter's Gold - not really my favourite rose. Good color, healthy and smells great but I think the blooms are rather messy when they open. Melodye, I don't know if that is what you mean by old dish rags. Best to appreciate SG when the bud has just opened IMO. It is however a rose I just had to get because of the name - even if it was Sutter's SkyBluePink, I would have bought it. And of course, General Sutter has his roots in Switzerland;) Carol, thanks for the suggestion - sure looks similar but HMF describes it as having a strong fragrance. I had another wiff today - nothing! So it will remain a mystery rose like a couple of others that I have. Thanks again everyone Sharlene

I think there is more fluctuation in humidity levels on the east coast as to where is it is more constant where aurorawa lives. I would say as long as it is over 60% you should be OK with the hoyas outside. A tray with pebbles and water should help keep the humidity at a more constant level especially in the afternoon heat.The level in my tent ranges from 70% to mid 90s.I also have a small pc fan going when the lights and heat mat are on to keep the mold away. As of now my meter reads 79% humidity, 80 degrees fahrenheit.

OMG, the deep purple in Annie's library is gorgeous and perfect. And I've always loved her tangerine powder room and the orange in her kitchen. Brave use of two tough colors which turned out perfectly. this is the children's bunk room in my house, but I want to paint the woodwork white and the walls and ceiling BM Lemon Ice, a "lighter" (weight-wise) yello My favorite room in terms of color is my living room

That's so sweet. India is a wonderful and very beautiful country and the people are very warm. There were some people who thought it was an odd place to take vacation, but I think that is rather uninformed. Our whole family would love to go back; it is a very large and varied country and we only saw 6 or 7 cities (the lovely pink Jaipur among them). How exciting and rewarding for your daughter. Kudos to her for doing well while doing good!
