a poem to share

the other night i wrote this poem for my matt... i miss him so much and would like to share this with all of you...

My heart is breaking

I can not speak

the words are foreign

the language weak

what do you do when death appears

how do you cope in the coming years

you slowly breath

first in, then out

you look beyond to calm your doubt

it can not be comprehended here

and so you cry the unending tear

my life is changed forever now

the ties that bind are broke somehow

you can not fix this broken tie

instead you only cry and cry

you cry within to mask the pain

you cry within but its in vain

your cries can not be heard out here

your cries are the cries of the unending tear

please keep me in your prayers....

it's been snowing here yesterday and the night before. Today's one of those cloudless Montana days, dead gone blue. 48 degrees on the porch. By noon it will be warm enough to go outside. I was sitting around yesterday wondering why I always write poems in the fall about fall and thought I was getting loaded up with them. On the other hand maybe I should write enough to make a book. I could call it Leaves in a Book. i have been scrubbing the house. It turns into a wreck during the summer. I should like to know where to put everything. The despicable American Stuff is everywhere. Lately I've discovered you can go to Amazon books and surf the used book section and that is how I got the rose book by Grayam Stuart Thomas for 8 bucks including shipping. The challenge is to get something quite nice for next to nothing and limit the junk everywhere. Yes, the new book pile is going up and up. no poem - just the clear glass icicle ornies I got on clearance last year. just used white glue and glitter. (mine was from doller store) remove ornie top, pour glue inside, tilt and roll to cover inside fully - turn upside down to drain excess glue. wait about 5-10 minutes until glue is tacky - you do not want it moving around inside. pour in glitter to cover all. let dry. mine took about three days to dry. was amazing to me. each day more and more glitter sparkles from top down. when all is sparkly and dry, turn over and remove extra glitter to reuse. recap. these were simple and from now on (LOL) no glitter to fall off all over. got dirctions off a website somewhere. works with all clear ornies.

I really enjoyed your poem and I loved your phrasing especially "it takes what it needs - not what it craves." It would be a wonderful world if we could emulate the Mother nature. "Weighed down with diet dread" was was a great description too. I could easily add that I'm weighed down by too much bread!

That is a beautiful poem, I hope this will give you comfort, I haven't written anything as yet, I will soon I hope.
I did write some poems for my son who passed away 20 years ago at the age of 10 months, and I had a poem published at the compassionate friends here in Australia.

I lost my hubby after 50 wonderful years..but it is so difficult to go on..we were going to be together forever..it what he told me..but God had other plans..I don't want to wake up another day. I pray for everone that has lost a loved one..I'm so sorry.
