Better get a few people taking pictures. Pictures of each bidal party member coming up the isle is nice when you're doing a scrapbook, and a picture of the bride and dad going down the isle, front and back (back so you see the back of the dress. Also get the funny pictures, with lots of faces. Try to get some every half hour - thats why you need help.

Take all the formal pics but then take loads of just people - especially children. When looking back at my wedding album, we all get the biggest kick out of the children. Also, if anything unusual (my son fell asleep on the stair in the front of the church while he was ringbearer for my sis, my brother passed out at another sis' wedding) that kind of stuff makes every wedding exclusive in itself! Mirror reflections are also great - especially if they are candid. But ny all means, enlist friends/family that you know can take good shots!

Get the formal shots, but also get casual shots of the wedding party. Get them standing around talking, laughing, dancing. Get nice shots of the bride and groom dancing. Don't forget the bouquet/garter toss. Get a nice shot of the parents dancing or all sentimental, and with the bride and/or groom. That will be a trasure in the years to come.

Also, try to get a different angle than the usual photographer. Stand a little to the side, go in a little closer.

Be unobtrusive - use a zoom lens if you have one on your camera.

And here's the big thing - get ID's (full names, relationship to wedding couple) for every photo you take, especially if they're from the groom's side. It'll help when you're sorting through the photos later.

Also, bring at least two rolls of film more than you think you'll need (better to have too much than too little), and fresh batteries.

Penny i realize that this is late i hope the wedding went without a hitch and that they are very happy. But i had to comment on the 2 extra rolls of film i had friends doing the pictures of our small formal wedding and we went thru 22 rolls of film!!!
