Yes, it was fun to make, and if you donâÂÂt have the twister tool, go ahead a get one. I find I donâÂÂt use it a lot, but have fun with it when I do. This is about as large as I would want to make a Twister, but I can see using the large twister and sewing the blocks together as you goâ¦.IâÂÂm just not that adventurous. There is some âÂÂwasteâ but it can be put to good use, as I used them in the border of this one and really like how it turned out. I got inspired with the Twisters when LindaOH started making hers a couple years ago. Twist on, ladies....... SharonG/FL Here is a link that might be useful: Linda's post....

I'm not sure what you are wanting...an outline of Mickey that you can draw around? The scrapbook store I go to has tons of Mickey stuff...you can check out the website at: Expressions with Heart. You can e-mail her and ask for what you need..she will or and mail stuff to you also...

You best said it yourself in the last sentence. "...Do I pick out other slabs which are not as pretty as mine and start all over again, further delaying my kitchen?" You live with what they did which is the colors you wanted or you go and get something else that won't be as pretty. I think you have the answer. HOWEVER, you need to hold the fabricator and/or Lowe's accountable for what happened. What you don't say is WHO put the template up onto the granite so you could photograph? The Lowe's employee? Or did the actual fabricator who was going to cut, polish and install the granite do it? If Lowe's did it...then that answers what went wrong. You go to Lowe's and discuss with the slab person what went wrong. They obviously didn't communicate a thing to the fabricator. If the fabricator put the template up onto the slab and you photographed then you certainly have recourse to get in his face and demand explanation. Not that I defend the fabricator all the time .... however, I have had the templates laid out for a client's granite and when the fabrication started the slab broke in a bad vein area, I have had the seams "blow out" and not match up right after that so another section was cut differently, etc. It could be there was a problem during fabrication. Research a little before you react. Good luck on the office move!

That's such a hard question to answer. Of course, you are the person who will use the kitchen most and you are the person who has the vision. But you want your family to enjoy it too. You just have to balance that out in your own mind. ....which, of course, is not an answer. Maddening, I know. Are they understanding your vision and rejecting it? Or are they not seeing it in their mind's eye and rejecting what they think it will be? Have you shown them the pictures that sold you on the idea? I had one of those esoteric visions in my head for my kitchen. It's small and narrow and I wanted two different colors -- one on one side and one on the other. And I wanted a different color for the breakfast area and pantry. Every single person to whom I described it said, "Isn't 3 colors too much?". Without exception. The cabinet maker had to do 5 sets of drawings to get it all right and then still was only willing to do one color and door option at a time. My GC confessed to me when it was all over that he thought I was nuts and creating a disaster until he saw it come together. Now that it's done, everyone really likes it. My family is crazy about it. They just couldn't see it when I described it. OTOH, even though my husband was supportive all along and said it was my choice, if it hadn't worked, I would have been miserable knowing I was the only one who wanted it that way. Take pictures of your layout and use tracing paper to draw your modifications. Go get several large-size copies made. Color them in so everyone has a clear idea what you're talking about, what they want, what compromises are possible. It just comes down to the painful process of decisions and consequence. The more concrete you can make abstract ideas now, the more the consequences will be wonderful and comfortable for all. Good luck!
