How do you Repost on CL?

I need to repost a listing (trying to sell some small furniture items around the house that are just taking up space), but every time I try to repost, I get a message that I can't repeat a posting. Help?

I've never had that problem, yet I never repost until the initial post has expired.
Is there a chance you have a post running with the same title and info? Yet, after asking that, I think I've seen people run the same ad with multiple listings.

I think I did it with 2 windows open - one to the current listing and one to make a new listing. I c/p the info from the old to the new then delete it BEFORE finalizing the new one. I do remember there was a bit of a trick to it so I could do the exact same ad and not have to start from scratch, but I think the key is the old has to be deleted before you can finish the new one.

I think the gazebo is too bulky for your space, and I think it would be difficult to move, assuming you could get it home in one piece. How would you transport it, if the roof has to be left in one piece? A warning about the gazebos from Target: we bought one a few years ago and it fell apart within months. The metal structure bent in the wind, and the fabric shredded at the seams. It was a waste of nearly $200, and it was a real bugger to assemble. Of course, YMMV depending on which one you buy. I thought it was "ironic" that the instructions for that gazebo said that it was "not to be used outdoors." I swear! Like I'm supposed to put it in my dining room. ! Anyway, have you thought about a shade sail? That's what I originally wanted for our sunny deck, but DH didn't want anything fastened to our house (we have a custom log home that can't be easily repaired, if one of the logs gets damaged). Here is a pic of the sectional from the area of where our monster TV is located. You can see the front door in the background so when you walk in and turn right the first area you see is the front porch/sitting area. I would LOVE to do window seats, but it can't be done because the radiators are in the walls beneath the windows. I have a console table, that was behind the sectional, but it's a little top heavy and I'm afraid it might tip if my 13 month old tries to pull himself up on it, so it is currently in my bedroom. I'm all for letting the kids use this space to play in, but it's also the first thing you see when you come in my house. Trying to find a solution so it is a sitting area, and play area, and looks nice when guests come over.

14 sf would be a *very* small bathroom floor indeed. But it sounds perfect for a vanity backsplash or tub surround (or a tiny condo kitchen - 18" high x 9ft long?). Is the marble special order? Do you have the ordering info? I would think your price was not unreasonable, esp. if someone needed more and could order it from the same place. At least they'd be getting a bargain on part of it. List the price per sf (or total for these pieces incl the chair rail) you paid for it in your ad so people can see what a bargain it is. If I planned on doing a b/s in my 3x6 powder room I'd buy it from you, but planning on using an old washstand with a towel harp on back. Check over on Conversations side of Kitchen Forum and see if they're still running the "GW garage sale" - post some pics in a new thread with title "GW garage sale - marble subway tile" (look for the rules first) and maybe a fellow GWer will buy it!

Thanks, Loribee. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Hubby says we can head over to Macy's tomorrow to look at the Chloe and a few other chairs. Maybe look at ottomans too because Cassie has decided she loves the loveseat with the ottoman from my office for her head. :) springmeadow - I was hoping that too. But the backs of them, where you place your head, were almost brown with dirt and wear. Ditto the arms. Threadbare in those places. Then we checked them over to see if they would be worth recovering, even though it would be expensive, but hubby said there was evidence of breakage at the bottom of one and on the leg of the other. Still looking. I would really like to keep it at around $500/$600 a chair, if possible. The Chloe is on sale right now for $449.

When I do it, I go to my account, I click on the post and choose delete. Once it has been deleted, I can than click on repost this ad.

I've never waited 15 minutes.

CL does not want people to 'bump' their listing to the top by reposting, that's why you have to get around that.

I usually use a completely new title and rearrange my information in the new listing. For example:

Old Ad:

Beautiful Vintage Buffet $250

Nice piece, dark wood, good condition. Call to see.
987-1234

New Ad:

Antique Buffet Excellent condition $235

This is a beautiful piece, 60" long, 32" high, in dark wood. Call Red at 987-1237

Now, all my CL ads give much more info than that, all measurements, any details that might be asked on the phone, and the general section of town I live in so that out-of-towners can decide if it's too much trouble before they call me about it. And photos. I use all 4 photos available in the listing. CL is free, so there is no reason not to write a good ad. Those above are just to show that you can rearrange so the ad looks very different and won't alert their software that it's a re-post.
