Anne, you don't have to use just one picture for the "icing layout". Use several to show "progress of events", or how about something like "seeing her this way is just icing on the cake!!" As far as the "presents pictures", do a 2 page spread or use the panoramic page protectors; make sure each gift is visible to warrant using it in the layout, if you use most of them then you can label who it was from and maybe how much your daughter has or has not played with it. Remember: journal, journal, journal! I use one photo when it's a special, one of kind pose, or I just want to hi-light it. I usually use an average of 3-4 photos per page (depending on the event etc) Hope this helps. Hilary
