@#$%^& Bias tape!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I'm so mad!

Here is another classic "beginner's mistake" that is making the project take 5 times longer than it should!

I went and got 3 packages of edging. White. Extra wide, double fold.

I start to apply the first side. No problem. The application is slow for me, of course, but I can handle the basic process.

Until I fold it over, and go to do the other side.

The pattern on my fabric shows through the white tape: that last 1/4" bit at the very edge where there is only one layer of tape instead of 2. I didn't think my fabric was "dark" but it definitely shows through the white tape. I'm so mad! That is just not acceptable! It never occurred to me that edging wouldn't be thick enough to edge the fabric without the pattern showing through.

:-(

Sooooo, as I apply the other side, I have to refold every bit of it, and pinch it tightly between myt fingers, in order to get a double thickness of tape on the right side of the fabric. If only the tape were thicker/heavier, this wouldn't have happened.

Phooey!!
