How Close Should Cabinet doors be when they close?

User

We had new doors made for our existing cabinets. The door style was (and is) an overlay, but not a full overlay, and there is no center stile. The doors have been hung, but not adjusted, and it looks as though there will not be a standard space between the doors when they close. One set is just the wrong size; there is a gap of 3/4 inch that I don't think can be adjusted out with the hinges.

They'll be coming back on Tuesday with another door that they forgot to make (hard to believe, isn't it?)and to adjust the ones they've already put in. Is there a "standard" gap between doors that is acceptable, or should there be no gap? I realize the doors can't fit too tightly, but I would at least like them all to look the same.
