I like the look of the Cinquanta a bit better and it appears to have a longer "reach" --although the reach is not so critical since there is a pullout spray.

Thanks for the responses! To my eye, the Ocean Antique looks like honed Verde Lavras--a deep gray-green with black and occasional white. I think it's the fabricator's solution to meeting demand for soapstone, at granite prices. For those who have seen the Mamadadapaige kitchen (one of my favorites!), the coloring is very similar. Florantha and others, I'm trying to figure out how to post my floor plan, but in the meantime, I've attached a link to a photo I found of a kitchen with a layout and design scheme very similar to mine. The main difference is that my island is a rectangle, without the round piece at the seating area. Flooring, backsplash and appliance placement are similar. Breezy - glad to hear you love the sink - and knowing that you'd now go with offset. Good point about not being able to lay the large items flat to soak - even in my low divide idea, that wouldn't work. I don't love the curvy either, but it is their low divide 1 3/4 option.. Also - interesting to hear about the water line filter idea - perhaps I should consider that - a little more expensive in filters, I suppose? Mrs Nyef - thanks and also for the tipout thoughts. Bummer that my under sink drainpipe would be at the opposite end vs the sink drain, but at least the disposal would be in the far corner. I did get a sample to take home for a couple days and the truffle worked best with the granite sample. It's either that or stainless... Interesting that I'm not hearing anyone largely in favor of (or even utilizing) the Cascade-type sink that has the small platform off to the side - anyone positive or negative about that - either through personal experience or thinking it through? As others have posted, you can buy a sink with a ledge and the accessories fit into the ledge so they are more flush with the counter and more stable. I am buying a sink with this kind of construction and have purchased a grid that will straddle the sink - it can be used to dry dishes; keep veggies when prepping and when not in use can go in the sink bottom to protect the bottom of the sink from heavy cookware. I am also getting a sponge caddy which will hold wet stuff to the side and cutting boards that will also fit in the ledge - poly for meat to go in the DW and wood for everything else. Many brands have this kind of configuration so it should be relatively easy to find if you are replacing your sink. And you can always put a small bowl in the bottom if you need a basin for some reason. The point being that it is easier to multipurpose one large sink basin than deal with issues from having two smaller bowls.
