Penny,

Some of the stores up here are, More Than Memories, Thanks for The Memories, Creative Scrapbooks, Lil Scrapper, Desiree's. The first 3 are chain's. We also have Walmart but they are very limited on supplies, Michaels and Hobby Lobby carry a large selection. I have also found a few items at Target but they are also limited. Hallmark also carries some items. I found a listing of 11 stores in TN, I will send you an e-mail with the towns and see if your close to any of those.

We are limited here, too. Hobby Lobby has quite a good selection of supplies (much better than Walmart, and their prices on equipment are about the same). However, the best here is a store that 2 fellow addicts just opened about a month ago. It's called Scrapbook Station and they have the prettiest papers, a huge selection of stickers by all the best manufactuers, a really fancy die-cut machine( for a nominal fee, they will cut your pictures in the shape you want), absolutely gorgeous albums--It's just paradise. Their papers and stickers are about the same price as anywhere else, but other supplies (punches, etc.) are really much higher. I won a free crop during their grand opening week, but I'm not going to use it until school's out--I want to stay all day and get the good out of it! i wish we had a Michael's around here. I hear they are about the best as far as chains go. Agree?

Janie- I think if you have a Hobby Lobby you are doing ok. I think they are very comparable to Michaels.

I have been getting most of my pages and stickers at JoAnn's Etc. I am lucky since they have a really big store ten minutes from my house not to mention the corporate headquarters next to the store. I figure this store should be fairly well run since I am sure they try to avoid crazed crafters storming into the HQ armed with glue guns. I spent over one hour there today since they have all of their scrapbooking supplies 30% off until May. I haven't found a local store dedicated to scrapbooking but I don't mind since I also enjoy other crafts. There are also Michael's and Pat Catan's craft stores in this area.

I have only been to the store Janie is referring to once. . .I think it is so funny that I introduced her to scrapbooking (more or less) and now she is spending more time and money on it than I am! Ha! Then again, I am caught up with all my old photos, and she has a LONG way to go. (Gloat, gloat)

Penny as you well know i am a fellow tennessean :) although i am a few hours from you i just love the Croppers Corral in Johnson city. They carry EVERYTHING!!! The only draw back is one of their employees is really hateful so i avoid going in if she is working but she usually only works weekends and i try to go after work. there is another good one in bristol tn (that is about 45 minutes from me) called Classic Scrapbooks and she has a lot too. As for Micheals here they dont have sh-- for scrapbooking supplies great selection of pens but i hate their paper and they are always out of stickers and dont carry much other than stickopotamus. anyway there is my list.
