I love scarves and have quite a few, but I rarely wear them because I'm not quite sure how to tie them. (I do have on a long scarf today that I've just kinda looped around my neck and it's hanging down in front - it doesn't seem quite right to me, but I'm not sure how to fix it!) With my shorter scarves, I fear looking like Julie from the Love Boat. :-/

idrive 65 is leaving out much regarding a site finished floor as far as positives vs negatives us prefinished vs site finished. This poster remarks will steer people to site finished and there are some drawbacks with site finished just as there is with prefinished. I apologize for confrontational remarks, however..you cant tiptoe around when trying to make people understand in todays world. Tiptoe and facts do not normally get across. In no way do I ever look to talk down or be confrontational...just accurate and thorough. Bevels are a technology that is there for a reason and if you tiptoe around that fact, the person may go site finished with a inferior surface layer as opposed to some topical aluminum oxide technologies today. Just some I stated have it on top which makes it about difficult to mark and abrase. This customer if not explained in real world terminology that these bevels enhance the product, not hurt it. Because of and old fashioned predetermined mindset, may go site finished and depending on this sand, have abrasions all over the place. That does not need to be. I apologize for being so confrontational if I was, however you perhaps should give a broader explanation rather than mislead the poster into thinking site finished will be a cure all. Just a point of view of course and never want to make enemies here. i apologize.

Thanks Squirrelhaven and cattknap, tina,robbyrob. I found this huge wholesale fabric warehouse in an industrial park, not far from me. The are wholesalers but also have a section in the front for retail. Since I cleaned my desk, I can't find their business card for the address, however after work today, I'll look it up and get back to you and any other Long Islanders that buy fabric (you'll never pay retail for fabric again) Sweets is right, cutting the fabric wider or longer will give you different size bolsters. The size I cut 18 x 18 -- made a cushion 12" long x 18 around, that is the size I wanted for the chair. When we made the sunburst ones for the living room sofa (pictured above) I cut the fabric wider...the living room bolsters are 13" long x 23 " around...you can see in the photo that it's a fatter bolster. It also has a fabric covered button in the center that the tassel hangs from. If anyone makes the simple (I call it an envelope bolster) please post it here. Happy sewing... Joann

Thank you! So far its going well. Cat bed made! She's not much of a critic! She started using it even before I finished it. I could not find a way to adjust the foot pressure. I think my machine is too basic for that. I am using my longest stitch, but having to pull the fabric through (as expected), the stitches end up as if they were on # 1 or # 2. Today I move on to the hats and scarves, one set of which is all cut out. I used a fusible web hemming tape to stick the hem down on the scarf before I top stitch it. Otherwise I know (based on the cat bed) that my top stitching will drift all over the place because of the loft of the pile. I know this fleece melts easily, so I was careful. It was very hard to get it hot enough to stick without it melting.
