Thanks, Yeah I'm on my own, that's what scares me. I'll be driving all the way up there and hubby is not a good backseat driver. My BIL and his wife is going up for the same conference. I wish I could have been going the other direction, it would have been fun to get down south to visit, but I'm afraid we're going north, somewhere above SF. I'm told it's about 5 hours above SF. We'll see when we get past the big red barn, that can take hours to get past. I'm hoping to go to Reagan's Nursery to visit Don Cravalho's epies. I went there once, but forgot my camera. DOH! Eddie at the Epiforums said he'd like a few pics when I go up there again. Now that's a vacation! I'd love to go to all the botanical gardens and nurseries between here and Oregon, Hubby would like to go to all the book stores along the way! How about a garden bookstore, that way we'd both be happy? LOL

I feel your pain!!! Have been going through a similar situation with a neighbor (for 17 yrs now!). They, too, do things under the guise of "helping" me. I put drought tolerant plants in our front yard, that butts up to the property line between us. They had automatic sprinklers & would flood the area regularly-which would over-spray into our yard. I used to ask nicely, could you adjust your sprinklers, attempting to be a "good" neighbor. His response was "you don't want FREE water"? NO...I don't! There were a variety of offenses...them not understanding boundaries & personal property issues. They cut plants, moved boundary rocks, pulled out plants, etc. When I caught them doing it, they claimed they were just "helping" me. Yikes! What part of "don't touch my plants" don't you understand? I used signs at times. Didn't help. I have no landlord to go to with a complaint. You should...go complain!! Have a face-to-face talk with the neighbor. Unfortunately, my talks with ours fell on deaf ears. They think they can do whatever they want. We are currently in the process of ripping out ALL plants between us, just so we can install a WALL (at great expense to us)...as these folks still don't get it when we ask them not to touch our plants, or things on our property. I wish you luck resolving this issue. I'd say you should enlist the help of your landlord (esp. if you say they have installed a raised bed without permission).

Hey there! I am seriously surprised to see that anyone bothered to look at my post and then actually comment on it! A happy surprise, of course, because this forum is great fun and it is definitely a treat to get to know you guys online. Glad you guys enjoyed my writing. My husband is getting a little nervous about my kitchen fetish. But hey, a little competition to spice things up in the marriage never hurt! And it looks like our loans may be going through so a summer fling is possibly coming my way!!! You don't know how happy I am to have seen your post today! I know I saw this tile before on another post some time ago. Now that my kitchen project is coming along, I started thinking about flooring my laundry room. I remember those circles, and just like boxerpups, they too make me happy.
