Adding tickets to scrapebook page

I am doing a vacation scrapebook and I want to add tickets and other things to my page. I know these aren't acid free. What do I do? I'm new to scrapebooking and this site and I have gotten alot of information from this site. Thanks, Patrice

Having them laminated will make them relatively safe since that seals them in their own little pocket

Include the tickets and maps together on a separate page with journaling and then on the opposite facing page mount your photos. That way you have no worries over the acid content of the other items. Penny

I actually have mixed feelings about Chicken. I am so glad I added them because for the last couple of years, I have not purchased any eggs, and my near friends and family also. Those fresh eggs are really delicious....really ! Also the chicken manure has dramatically changed the way a lot of my plants were growing (I have seen some significant growth. I usually lay straws or grass clipping in their run and weekly pull them and put it in a compost pile and very happy with it so far. I used to spend a lot of money on compost, topsoil etc, but don't plan to do that anymore. By the way, I haven't seen a lot of common insect that usually invest my vegetable gardens (or garden as a whole). I think they are very effective at it. I am a strong believer of all organic, so pretty much everything chemical free. Having said that, there are drawbacks! yes, some folks talked about their neighbor's chicken coming and running a havoc in their garden bed ... that is true. You have to really protect your garden (especially when they are young) and also they will go after those young tomatoes!!! They pretty much dug up all my Lilly!! They made a huge mess with the pine straw bed I had worked so hard to put out ... Oh, did I mention they will come to my driveway and deck area and do their bizzness :)) But oh how they were so cute when they were baby chicks and also it is just so darn peaceful when you are walking around and those chickens are browsing all around you. I don't think I will give up on them, I will figure out how to adopt to them :)

Rosewitch, England was definitely one of my favorite places I have ever visited. My folks took me there when I was 14, and I remember bits and pieces the Crown jewels, walking amongst the Stonehenge stones (roped off now, vandalism), Stratford upon Avon. Time for me to take my own 14YO. Im trying to think how I can get over there for a whole summer, LOL. Dlynn, I could have worked so much more. I didnt really look at night time stuff and there was loads to do. Greece: cant help you, but shoot Yasou a line, she went a few years ago. LOL Annie! Teresa, well go together. I wanted to explore more cooking and food shops/stores but didnt get to. Terri, here is more a link to Pictures of England, a website pointed out to me by Denise. I started it on Bourton on the Water, where we stayed for a few days. Thanks Sharon, I was actually thinking how can I even come close to posting her quality of travel guides, I dont do the pictures she does LOL. We might have sat at the same table in the Cheshire Cheeses dining room! Sawdust still there, but we didnt make it to the cellar. I missed a lot of the British Museum. It has changed.check out the new atrium. I couldnt keep up with DH and DS16. Afternoons, when I planned museums, I crashed. Next time! Pam, lots of people did more than we did per day! Theater every night, more attractions, I cant imagine. Gina heh heh yeah I need another vacation like a hole in my head. Speaking of whichDH has another week off in August. Nooooooooo! Kathleen, DH says he took an average of 200 pictures a day. Yup. Me, I just buy the post cards or Google the images, same thing (DARFC from the photo bugs here) Cathy, thanks for giving me the War and Peace moniker heh heh. Next time I go with CF friends! To make my point clearer. You can google my username and find my public posts. No problem. Your not going to find out 1 thing about Linda H. I googled a member's name and location and found out how old she was because it was mentioned in an article about her DUI auto wreck. I also found out she was in divorce proceedings. Of course, if you're alright with other KT members (and all the "friends" who have access) googling your name and location, so be it. Of course, I think this problem applies to all of Facebook.

If I remember correctly, I saw at my local scrapbook store (LSS) acid-free keeper pockets (like little sleeves you slide things into, I think) and do-it-yourself acid-free laminating sheets (like contact paper, I suppose) so you could enclose them either of those two ways to make them part of a layout. Call your LSS and I'm sure they could tell you what they sell and what they have to offer. I'm sure they could also tell you the cheapest way to do it if that's a concern- and when isn't it?! :) Good luck and happy scrappin'!

I spray mine with "Archival Mist" purchased at my local scrapbook store. It is pretty expensive, but a bottle will last a LONG time.

The sleeves are the way to go. I used them for flowers I had picked on a vacation one time and had dried them. You have to use a spot of tape to keep them in place and a little tape on the ends to close them. It looks great.

i have been scrapping for over 5 years and have 27 completed albums and 7 ongoing ones and i have always added tickets, programs, pamplets etc to my albums i either will as someone said put em on their own page or in one of those "pocket" thingys or mount them on their own seperate sheet of cardstock trimming around em (leave an edge) and the buffers from the paper will keep the acid from spreading to your photos. hope this helps . happy scrapping

I agree with the pockets or mounting them. I was told never to laminate anything because it still has acid in it and the acid will eat what you have laminated. I have been wanting to try the archival mist. But I can't afford it right now. Happy scrapbooking.
