What have you been up to with your camera?

Last night we had 7 kids in our driveway, shooting hoops. It's getting cute because it's kind of a guy-gal thing. They are all 12. Anyway, I grabbed the camera and headed outside. My DS, Brian yells, "It's my Mom with her camera, RUN!" I got some great 'Friends' shots. Oh to be that age again. But only for a day or so.....

Thanks for asking. April is the birth month of both of my ds', so lots of party/cake/presents pics. Also, ds was in a TaeKwon-Do tournament and took 3rd in patterns, and also had a belt promotion, so lots of kick and punch pics. Took a trip to the country and photographed some old dilapidated buildings that have lots of character. Experimenting with those. Saw my 11month old niece at Easter. In April I've developed 4 rolls of 24 and completely drained the batteries in my camera. Boy, do I have scrapping to catch up on LOL!

Dear Pam, I totally missed Easter, as we didn't do much anyway, but I am going to take some more shots of the remodelling of my mom's apartment so that when it's finished I can throw the guilt trip her way (for a change) by saying "See what it used to look like." LOL Penny

I tortured this moso boo. Started as seedling and left it and 100 other siblings out in hot sun in one inch by one inch 1020 starter sets on my driveway all last year. Got drenched and dried all summer and only grew to two inches. Only 30 survived. Then brought inside house and baked in boiler room for most of winter till only about ten were alive. Then planted out in middle of winter to dog run. Were all top growth died back. Only one survived. Then my dog peed on it. This in my effort to make a new master race of moso bamboos. I deep dug this 10 foot circle and mixed in lots of leaf mulch, grass clipping. It has since been planted with P. Vivax "springhill" in the center. The rest around it is a tropicalesque garden with various aroids, bananas, callas, etc. I had to remove eight wheelbarrows of dirt after I was done digging I fluffed it up so much and added so much organics. Don't blame me for the horsy mailbox. That's my mother-in-laws doing. I love my wife so I had to put it up. Here's some of the plants I started from seed and the tropicalesque plants I'm putting in: I put in six laburnums last summer along the driveway and they are flowering: The Verbascum "Banana Custard" I planted last year are flowering: Not your usual verbascums the flowers are 2" across and as of today the plants are ten feet tall. My patch of 39 A. Sikokianums below are doing good. I just planted 6000 seeds I got from them in a 12 by 8 foot bed a week ago. Next I am having 3 trees chopped down so I can put in a vegi garden. I had to sell my lake and Herptile Preserve because it got to be too much for me.

Wonderful photos, Cindee! For some reason, I still cannot get to your link... but the photos you've posted are awesome! The Passiflora is one of those "Weird & Wonderful" things that just blow your mind! What shape and color! I bought a Hymenocallis bulb, planted it... and here it sits. It hasn't even rooted in well. Even the Scadoxus bulb is finally showing leaf tips... but the Hymenocallis could be a ping pong ball for all it's grown! What's the secret? Yours is gorgeous, Cindee! It looks so delicate and fragile! But it's very pretty... I wish mine would do something! And your Rain Lily... aren't they wonderful little things?!! I just love them! Well... as soon as I walk Maia, I'm off to get some snapshots of today's gardens! I just know you'll all love the Roses! Happy Gardening!

I am doing the same kind of seasons page so that when I go home In can shoe my friends and family what the house looked like each season. Don't know how to set it up though. I am going to have some great pics to work with soon. I went whitewater rafting today and got some good pics. I also have a great idea for some pictures I took just after I got here. I have some loveley summer looking pictures(was Feb) and then the next day pictures was everything covered in snow. My title for the page I am going to do is "What a difference a day makes"

I have a camera my brother sent me. It is sitting here bc I know I should upgrade my computer and it never works and it confuses me. I saw a UFO about 10 years ago in NC. A hovering thing that zoomed out very quickly. My mother and brother saw them in the 1980s or maybe 70's, in PA. It was reported to be seen by many in the local newspaper. I once found a dead fawn torn apart in my bank of ivy next to the driveway and cant imagine how it got dismembered that way. I called animal control and begged to have someone come and get it but they said I had to get it to the curb. I said "That is why I am calling. Would you like to collect these fly/maggot infested parts?" She said no, sorry. Well I think my husband or someone finally got it in a garbage bag and threw it out. But Something was out there. Creepy! The fawn was not very small. I live in suburbs, not wilderness.

It's getting close to the end of the school year and we have gone on a few field trips...tomorrow roller skating...I will definately get lots of pictures of that....next week is McDonald's. Took lots of Easter shots....I have 5 rolls of film to get developed! I have alot of scrapping to do!

My son is 2 so this was the first Easter that he could really help his big sister color the eggs. He really got into hunting for the eggs too. Lots of pictures! Also have a brand new newphew today so I'm sure my camera will be kept busy for a while.

So far this month I have taken photos of:
wedding shower, son's wedding and reception, brothers 40th birthday party, Easter Sunday family picnic. I am going to have to take out a loan just to get pictures developed!

Just picked up 3 rolls of film at Walgreens yesterday. Got the circus, our playgroups easter egg hunt, coloring easter eggs, easter sunday, and just pics with my 2 year old and my inlaws. Now I have no film in the house and I'm freaking out about it! I need to get to the store to buy more!
