Doing dh's baby book

kelly

My dh has an old scrapbook that is just filled with lovely b&w's of him as a babe, up till about age 7. The book is roughly a 12x12 and the pics are all the same size--about 3" square. There are 3 rows of 3 pics on each page, and they are all held in place with black photo mounting corners. I decided for Xmas I will make him a nice album (lord knows his mother won't LOL). I will need mil's help a bit for this, plus I plan to get a few photos of him as an older child and teenager. These will be in colour and not square.

I'm just looking for ideas from you oh-so-smart gals on how to do the b&w pics. I don't want to crop any of them, and I don't want to just lay them all out in 3 rows of 3. I need some ideas on how to break the monotony of so many same sized colourless photos on one page. Like, what colour paper goes with b&w photos, and do I use stickers and die-cuts? If so, which ones, and how? Any layout ideas?

TIA,

Kelly
