The codes and all numbers they ask you for are on the catalog. The person on the end of the phone should have told you this. If not, then Breck's needs to train their order takers better, or make them friendlier to consumers. Your catalog should have three numbers on the back (I think its the back). Each number is in a pastel shaded box. You'll have to verify your address and give the numbers they ask for. The coupon is on the back of the catalog, too. There may be a code on the coupon itself, but I think all the codes are on the back in those three boxes. Those boxes are probably individualized for each address/catalog. If you don't have a catalog, you probably don't have the coupon or the codes. However, I bet you can order the catalog free by calling them back, or by going to their webpage. Hopefully, your ordered catalog will have the coupon. If you order your catalog now, you may receive it before the coupon expires in about three weeks. Sorry you couldn't find the code and place the order right away. Breck's really should have explained how to do that and been more helpful. You can order online, too, and you can mail your order, but mailing it will cost you a stamp, which calling and webpage will not. In any case, you will need the actual catalog with the coupon and your individual codes stamped on to the catalog. At least I think so. Good luck with it. There's some great items, and some different items, in the catalog that you can get for 25 dollars or less, use the coupon, and get them for free.

cAROL - I think I'm going to manage to not order from Hazzard. It's tough, though. The only things I still need are Phlomis tuberosa, Phlomis russelliana, Delosperma cooperi, and Veronica spicata. Oh, and some more Rudbeckia Cherokee Sunset. Even with the free shipping at Hazzard it's still going to make sense for me to go with orders to T&M and Swallowtail and get smaller packets at a lower price. The little bit of extra savings per seed at Hazzard isn't quite such a bargain when the garden is so packed that newcomers need to be wedged in! I can't even begin to tell you how tempted I was by the giant seed packs though. All it takes is an enabling thread like this and my thoughts turn to seeds seeds seeds flowers flowers flowers. I think I better go read a seed catalog for a while to chill out. :) Lynda

Not sure if this is the same offer but my Vesey's Bulb catalogue has code VAFA9 on it - however it is for free shipping with any order placed before July 15th, there's no mention of $25 off orders over $50.

The following are what I remember receiving so far. Sure I'm missing a few. I've received doubles of several. And a few more I expect to receive. I haven't received Bakers Creek although I placed a large order with them again. As of 2-3 years ago I had ordered either seeds or gardening supplies from over 30 different sources and that number would be some higher now. Some are online only. Overall I've had good results. The few exceptions have been: Sandhill Preservation Center - I placed 3 orders with them and none were ever completed and I never received any refunds. I even checked their site the last 2 times to make sure it showed the items in stock and some items remained on the list showing available the whole season. I usually state I won't accept substitutions as my climate is very challenging and I do a lot of research before I order a variety. So haven't ordered from them in several years so not sure if they have corrected these issues or not. Johnny's - Overall very satisfied. But this year I noticed their shipping was high. I decided to go ahead and place a large order. When shipping was figured at check out it was around twice as high as it stated in the catalog and online what it should be. My first order included several trays and inserts. I thought they might be the cause. So removed them and the order was just under 100 dollars. Again it entered shipping considerably higher than the already high price quoted in both sources. They were the only source I could find for a few items I wanted. So cut the order down to those items only. The order was 36 dollars and the high shipping in the book and online matched what was entered at check out. I will only order from them in the future if I can't find an item elsewhere unless they bring their shipping in line with that of other companies. The rest I have had good results with. I watch the shipping costs and only order from those that charge higher amounts when they are the only source for a product.
