Have you ever won a SB contest?

I was just wondering if any members of this group have ever won a contest for scrapbook making or just a random drawing online? I see all these sites for contests but I have never meet or talked to anyone who has won anything. So if you did tell us about it. Penny

We just got a new scrapbook store in my town and I am going to suggest a scrapbook contest. (!)

Funny you should ask because I *just* received an envelope full of metallic paper and letter stickers from Paper Adventures...and no explanation! LOL! I *think* it was from when I entered a random drawing contest on their site a while back. I'm not fussy though, I'll *gladly* take free SB stuff! ;o)

Well what a great report from you, pitimpinai!! The last I heard you were still very low in energy and still on a ton of medication and little appetite, and listen to you, helping the neighbor till up a lawn! LOL What a nice neighbor you were to plant tomatoes and Dahlias. :-) I am happy to hear that you've also benefited from a shorter work day. Great that you had all that time off saved up. I bet you really needed it to get your energy back. We have gotten pretty much back to what is normal for us here. The weather has been stupendous in the past month! I have never seen the cover crop in the veggie beds so high. We've also gotten all the leaves mowed and collected in bins, ours and three neighbors. [g] We have gotten somewhat cleaned up for the year in the garden, but I keep adding to my list of what I want to get done before the weather turns. Still have a small amount of bulbs to plant and three shrubs to get in the ground, some pots to clean and put away and that will just about do it. I am actually looking forward to a break from the garden. Not that we don't get outside and enjoy it, but it's nice this time of year, to focus on other things. During the gardening season, the garden seems to push out other priorities. [g] I enjoy the winter garden and by the time spring comes, I am just itching to get back to a new growing season. Glad you are able to enjoy gardening again and hope you stay well this winter! :-)

Maybe so? Irish Luck's name will be Ruben, after my grandpa. He is full blooded Irish and proud of it. He's got his families crest on a ring that he got from his dad. It's a horseshoe with emeralds throughout.

Have you ever returned a item you brought at Amazon ?

I think the success of returns is directly linked to whether you are buying verified by Amazon products, or 3rd party sellers who also post (crap) for sale on Amazon. I've been burned twice now by 3rd party sellers. I will never again buy something on Amazon from a 3rd party seller. Amazon was only partially useful in attempting to resolve both issues. I could type the whole saga out but in the end, I bought products on Amazon no one would stand behind. One product was not as advertised (was a cheap Chinese knock-off, not the genuine thing), and the other product was advertised as having a life time warranty which the seller would not honor. Both times the 3rd party sellers were unresponsive, and actually 1 seller got weirdly upset and borderline personal with me (it was borderline creepy). All communication went through Amazon's system too, so they can follow the conversations. In the end, the defective product is still for sale through the same 3rd party seller on Amazon and still comes with a lifetime warranty no one will likely honor. I wanted to love Amazon. I used to love Amazon. But they are wrecking their good name by associating with 3rd party sellers who are shysters and so as much as it kills me, I'm no longer buying anything from them.

OH! I get it! I just figured out (by going to the Paper Adventures site) that I got the metallic supplies because I was one of the first 300 people to put in a request for them. Apparently I'm supposed to use the products in a layout and submit the layout in a contest. Duh. :o)

I've won something. A couple weeks ago I was at a scrapbooking convention, and I won 3 door prizes!!!! I was so thrilled. I'll list what I can remember: Sticker letters (5 sheets), a pack of paper, glue, corners, scissors, a punch art book and dozens of punchies, some other stuff I don't remember. It was so fun, and I was so happy, because normally I don't win anything!

I recently got an email from Tina over at Scrappin' Time saying I won the February Post-N-Win. Boy was I surprised (and thrilled). I didnt even know there was a contest going on, LOL! Havent received my package yet, but from the list of items, I'm soooo HAPPY!

I have won twice from Scraplink.com for submitting broken links and new web sties. First time I got a 2 year sub. to Ivy Cottage Magazine and then I won a thing to copy with. Can not remmeber the name if it but is was around a 30 -40.00 item. So I was happy. I use it for scrapbooking to copy alphabets from my book.

I was selected as ScrapNetwork's ScrapExpert of the week....I'm supposed to receive a prize package from Current, but haven't gotten that yet. Other than that, I've mostly entered but not won...LOL
