Great question, Penny! I grow Orchids and Rollerblade. But not at the same time.

I like to cross stitch, crochet, and gardenening which is my passion. With the weather getting nice my scrapbooking stuff will probably be put on the side for awhile, I spend 80% of my time outside with my hundreds of perennials, annuals, shrubs etc. But I'm sure I can squeeze in a page or two here and there when it's raining LOL!

Have tried just about every craft, and my current ones, besides scrapbooking, are rubber stamping, (I make all my own cards) quilting, and paper making. And I am also writing a cook book. Good thing I retired last year.

I tried many craft, but my favorite beyond scrapbooking are cross stich, gardening, and cooking. I like to make dough with my kids too, and they love that (you know, you put flour salt and water mixed together, and you can use that like play-do. then you bake in the hoven, and you paint or vernish. kids are crazy about that!)Oh I forget, I like to sew too, sometimes I make clothes, but it is more for home, like curtains, table clothes ...
In fact I am a computer engineer, but I need to use my fingers, if not , I am not well!

Wow! Connie, I think you and I are leading parallel lives! Only differences are that I retired in 1998 and I haven't quilted yet except with paper on my scrapbook pages. I love using my handmade paper on my scrapbook pages.

I too, like to do a lot of the things already mentioned! I LOVE to garden...spring is just around the corner, and my daffodils and crocusses(sp) are poking thru already. One of my elderly neighbour

has given me pieces of all her plants so I have quite a variety of plants! She is English, and orders the neatest of plants every spring from a mailorder place, so I am sure to get some more "must haves" (LOL) again this spring. I also have a home based business. I paint wall murals. Mostly on children's bedroom walls, but lately have done a bathroom or two. I wish I had the patience to knit or cross stitch, but I don't :(
Its funny that all of us scrappers have other hobbies in common!

I am not a craftsy person at all. I have no patience for cross-stitching, don't like to go outside unless weather conditions are perfect (blue sky, between 65 and 80 degrees, slight breeze, LOL), and I am completely unskilled in any event!
My hobbies other than scrapping are reading, baking, and spending time online. (Does QVC count as a hobby? LOL)

Carla, I'm like you when it comes to being outside - don't like it unless it's perfect!! Unfortunately my 2 year old could spend HOURS outside and I honestly don't know what to do with her when we're out there!!

Anyway, my other hobbies (besides scrapbooking) are cross stitch, quilting, reading, and surfing the net. I spend WAY too much time on line, but I love it and there's so much to do here. :)

Wow...we all do have a lot in common! My favorite crafts besides scrapping are crochet, tole painting, and dried floral arranging. I also sing with my husband (he's the musician...I just get cornered into backups once in a while! LOL), and I write poetry. I think I've tried just about every craft, loved some, and the rest have gone to that big box in my basement storage called "craft supplies" LOL!!

Boy ladies we DO have a lot in common! I was amazed at all the same hobbies and crafts we do alike. Becky, I love to sing too and was in my brother's band at one time, I prefer Country, he prefers rock. I eventually got a job where I had no choice about a promotion and had to take a night shift position and had to leave the band. I am now back on days THANK GOD! I wonder what kind of things do you guys collect? I collect (beside scrapbook supplies of course, LOL) quilts, fisher price little people-don't laugh they are getting pricey-no pun intended. LOL Mickey mouse things for my daughter, Nancy Drew books, dollies as in sewn, and any old looking and affordable furniture (hard to find both ) for my old run down Victorian house. Penny

I collect cows, Blue Willow plates, and Volkswagen Bugs & busses (no kidding - my husband does too...we drive a bus and are restoring a bug at the moment...VW's are in our blood!) I am also into music, like I said...my husband and I used to run a mobile DJ business (we did weddings, company parties, school dances etc) and so we collect quite a bit of music in CD form too. I also collect some Barbie Dolls (I only have the I Love Lucy ones...that's my all time favorite tv show).

Pam- I collect beanies too- two peas in a pod again! Besides that, I love to read, shop, cook, and travel. Mostly right now I take care of my 14-month old daughter, so I don't have time for much else!

Hmmm - what do I collect? When I was a kid, I collected clowns and miniature furniture for my doll house (it was the kind that you can't play with). Now I've moved up in value -- Hummels. My dh started that for me. I'm not complaining. :) I honestly can't think of anything else that I collect!! Oh, does it count that I take a few seashells off the beach every time we go and put them in a jar at home? It's just one small jar, but they're all from RI beaches and no where else. I'm originally from there so it's kind of sentimental.

Then there's my clothes. If you look in my closet you'd think I collected clothes from the 80's, but that's just my wardrobe that hasn't been upgraded in 15 years.

I have a collection of beanies--puppies only, though. I also collect teapots--they must be white with a floral pattern and say "Made in England" on the bottom LOL. I have fifteen! I also have a smaller collection of cups and saucers--they must be bone china and say "England" as well. My everyday dishes are blue willow stoneware--in my dreams I will own a little teashop/bookstore called "The Blue Willow Tea Room." I can picture it--all painted yellow with white trim and blue willow ware mounted on the walls--and white wicker furniture on a big veranda out front for those perfect days. *sigh*

I collect birdhouses and love to rubberstamp, paint (at least I TRY...lol), work with dried flowers, and any other craft that looks quick and simple.

Besides scrapping, I do decorative wood painting. My DH gave me a band saw for Christmas 2 years ago and I've been merrily cutting and painting ever since! I've done a few local craft shows and send a variety of things to a consignment shop in Oklahoma (where we moved from a year ago). Most of my stuff is given away as gifts though. I've also dabbled in rubber stamping, but don't do anything that requires sewing, knitting/crocheting or digging in dirt. Teaching Sunday School and Mother's Day Out at our church and volunteering weekly at my son's Christian school takes up alot of my time, but wouldn't have it any other way! I love my Lord and my family!
