A sale at Michaels

Is there a sale this week at Michaels. I quiet getting a news pepper and on sundays thery always had a sale in the paper. Is there a way maybe that they could let us know if they have a sale going on that would be wonderful if they could.

I just called my local Michaels this week and asked the same question since I don't get the paper either! They told me to write to this address, tell them you don't get the paper and therefore don't get the flyer and request they send you the flyer directly.

Yep, I went this afternoon. They had a coupon in the sales paper for 40% off any one item, so I got the Fiskars Micro-Tip scissors, reg. $11.95. They also had the 9x11 paper for 14 cents, and a lot of other stuff on sale. The sale started today and goes through next Sat. Run!

Mo, that's how I feel about the pretty egg plate. Too pretty to cover up with real eggs. By the way, I am really sorry you are having anxiety issues about your husband's trip. Anxiety is terrible to deal with. I hope maybe you can talk yourself into some decorating, it truly helps to stay occupied. Plus being surrounded by pretty things and a festive looks helps one's mood too I believe. I know nights make anxiety far worse, and I will be thinking about you. You can join the slumber party here that Yacht and I usually do. LOL. We don't sleep at night due to pain, so our computers keep us going. Jeanne, I didn't stretch $20. LOL. Wish I had. I can never seem to get out of Dollar Tree for less than $20, that is why I changed its name to reflect that. I think this time they got me for $23. And trust me, you don't want to know my Michaels bill. LOL. Dad gave me $100 to spend and I had no problem at all doing that between the two stores yesterday. They are side by side, so I frequently refer to them as "Double Trouble". hugs, Karen

Janet, I bought those jars on the wood bases as a set some years ago, at Kirklands. Actually there were 3 of them but I broke one. :o( I have made a few with stuff from Dollar Tree tho. Easy and fun! But I never tried making wood tops for any, that's neat your DH could for yours! Thank you for the sweet words on our newest family addition. (I still can't believe I'm a great-grandmother now!!) Jeanne, that resting blue/white rooster is really a piece I love. Found him on eBay quite some time ago. The other one is a cheapy I found at Home Goods I think, had him awhile too. I have a lovely blue rooster plate that sits behind them too, I'll get it out after I put the patriotic plates away. hugs, Karen

kinda late....my summer beach decor

I tried to take pix of the shelves in my curio, but most didn't turn due to flash, glass, lgt from bay window. Anyway, here's a couple. The little seahorses on the top are S&P shakers, the dolphin is purple marble that I found on eBay. Also found the purple starfish there last year, got a small bag of 8 of them. I saw a craft online thing to put shells in a little box frame, so did that idea. The stone shell plaque was a GW find and also the shell basket, the seagulls are from Dollar Tree, and the little painting was done by one of my young grandson's. It was a school project, and he gave it to me afterwards. One of the new Trail of Painted Pony figurines I added to my collection this year happened to be the Sea Horse. If you look close, you can see the waves on him lool like 'horse heads'. and last but not least, this metal trivet or wall hanging from eBay. I loved all the detail on it. 2 seahorses, a lobster, and different kinds of shells....and Luvs, you'll crack up at this....ACORNS. Even the seller in her description was baffled by the intent of that in the design. Too funny! hugs, Karen

I think it's beautiful and definitely a labor of love. In the past I have not had much patience for large cross-stitch such as this as I find it tedious with all the counting. Thanks for letter me know about Michaels. I sent them a letter this week. I hope to get one in a couple of weeks. So
until we do get one could some one let us know ever week what they have on sale.
I think that they should have where you could order thinks thur them on line.
