I seem to be seeing less fruit damage on my dwarf fruit trees. Perhaps, it is because birds are a bit wary of cats in lower branches (just a thought). However, this year, I've saved my mother's day mylar balloons and have some old computer CD's handy to hang in the branches of my taller trees - apricots mainly. Last year, we partly solved the apricot problem by allowing some ripe ones stay on the ground - this satisfied the racoons - but then, a flock of small fruit-eating birds invaded later, and reduced the crop to almost nil. I'm saving the baloons and CD's to hang in the branches for these little rascals. Time will tell - stay tuned! Bejay

I have to admit that I sometimes "cheat" with the handwriting! For the ABC Album, I found a script font I liked and printed out the titles for each of the pages. I used my lightbox to trace the lettering onto my pages with my Calli pens. This kept the lettering consistant from page to page and lessened my fear of making too many mistakes.

Barbra, I am hoping that I helped answer some of your questions. I too have gathered scrapbook pages (with the help of a great many of you on here) for a little girl who had lukemia. Unfortunatly she passed away but her mother loves the books and pages that were made by the many people who tried to make her life special. Coolness! I have a similar tool, but it's just a little round disk with a hole in the middle. You put your pen/pencil in the hole and draw around the photo. No little lips, though, so you have to practice a lot to get it right. Where in Kansas are you located, Jewels? I'm in Salina.
