Mardi Gras!

Since my husband is originally from New Orleans, every other year he rides in the Bacchus Parade. Since the scrapbooking bug bit me only recently, this year I made lots more pictures than ever before. The pages I did of his float and him on it are great--my local scrapbook store made pictures of them for display! Let me brag a little.....

I used Diamond Dust purple paper and a circle punch and cut out lots of "beads" which I used as the border on the two page spread (12x12). I arranged them in a squiggly fashion, with some of them going under the pictures and out the other side. I connected the beads with a dot from a gold pen. The heading on the page in gold reads "Throw Me Something, Mister!" I used some gold star stickers sprinkled throughout and it looks great! He's so proud, and has quit teasing me about how much money I spend at the Scrapbook Station( the local store--brand new--and great, by the way!)

Anyway, forgive the bragging, but I thought the border idea might be helpful to someone else doing similar pages.
