I have been busy with my classes and creating new fall/halloween card designs, decor, candles and wax melt scents with my brother (for sale in an antique/gift shop), visiting family to decorate for Halloween, and of course decorating for my own Halloween Party lol. I started on all these projects early September, so it hasn't been too much work, I just try to do something new each week. I think I owe it to my grandma for my excitement for the holidays and seasons. She always let us help her decorate when we were growing up, and we still do decorate for the seasons together. Past fun memories and traditions keep me ambitious :) -SD

WOW! Double WOW! Triple WOW! Your place must look incredible at night. I love it all. Spooky, but not gory. I used to talk about this a lot with my second graders - how much FUN it is to be "pretend scared" and shiver when you read a Halloween story, but not REALLY be scared. Nice savings on the mantel scarf. I've been looking at them for a couple of years now, but didn't buy one because of the price. Even thought of sewing my own. Never occurred to me to adapt something else. DUH! I'm going to have to go on a shopping spree now. Do tell about the art work. Love the ghost mirror/painting in the first picture (same technique for the skull picture?). How'd you do that? Looks like you used garbage bags - or did you wrap them in the scary cloth? I did a "cute" ghost (Martha Stewart idea) on the bathroom mirror, but like your style better. Give directions, please. Those witches stocking boots are bigger than I imagined. That's another idea I'm going to have to copy. BOO!

Oak! I'm NOT a 'Bama fan...AT ALL. GLAD OU won!! This has been SUCH a special year for Bison football. * Perfect season. * 3 FCS National-Championships IN. A. ROW. * That's only been done twice b4. * 3 yr. record of 43-2 I believe. * 4 yrs. ago, we came within inches (still a very controversial call...on the goal-line as time expired) of going to the FCS-Championship. So....yeah....BISON and SOONER "Magic" have happened...again! Faron

Yes! That is my goal! We work 12 hour shifts here. If you're gonna be here for 12 hours, you might as well have some fun at Christmas time! I will say though I do feel bad sometimes. One year, the office staff announced a door decorating contest........ Now in my DEFENSE, not only do i NOT consider myself office personnel (I am not classified as such, even though i work in an office), and not only did i not ask to be entered into it (the queen does not dance with peasants, after all....KIDDING), but my decorations were up and operational weeks before any "door decoration" contest was mentioned. Now, the ladies who organized it were certainly more than happy to not consider me, they never even asked. But there was a plant wide outrage when it was known that they were not considering my decorations for the contest. So they came over, took some blurry pictures, and made some catty remark about being too tacky for THEM to work around everyday. (not sure if they were referring to me or the decor. :) Don't care either way )Needless to say, i crushed them all and there hasn't been a decorating contest since, even though i offered to exclude myself from it. Sore LOSERS!!! They do have an ugly Christmas sweater contest that maybe 5 people enter. (myself NOT included)
