I haven't contacted them as they are in the US and the dealer here in Canada is out of business. I plan to replace my appliances shortly as I want to upgrade to a granite countertop and am looking at the electrolux appliances. However, in the meantime, it would be nice to have all 5 burners working properly instead of just 3.

Knobs on the uppers-all doors, pulls on the lowers-mix of doors and drawers. Here's my reasoning: the pulls won't catch on my clothing or on the grandkids...and it's easier to put the child safety cabinet locks through the pulls. I don't know if either of those issues apply to you but our 5 visiting munchkins range in age from 12 months to 9 years so we needed to consider their safety in some of our decisions. I'm in the process of marking off the hole so DH and I can install the hardware tonight when he gets home...if I absolutely hate it I'll let you know. That's my 2-cents worth.

This one comes with a blank plate in the back, the problem is you could not open it from the inside if it closed. My sister lived in a house that had small thumb turns on the inside of the closets instead of a full knob, but those were on mortise, not cylindrical knob sets. The door slab can be used for the barn door, but you'll want to remove the hinges and patch/paint them. The knobs could be left on, but realize that they'll prevent the doors from opening the full width of the opening (may not matter to you). And you'll have the latch mechanism that will be extraneous. Here's a photo of a barn door setup we used between a bedroom and bath. We still had normal molding (casing and baseboard), so that wouldn't need to be removed. Your doors will just cover the opening (like they do now) without any overlap. Also, the door jamb will have mortises to full in (where hinges were), an extra piece of wood in the center of the door jamb (don't know the name) that doesn't exist for wall openings without doors. Those could be removed. As long as the above don't bother you, it can certainly be done.
