Well, Didn't I make a huge mistake with the name of that gorgeous daylily..When FLOOTA asked if I meant STARBURST INSTEAD OF SPACECOAST SunBURST, I got up and went out to check on the true name of it.I guess it was soo hot out there,SUNBurst was on my mind.THANK YOU RITA and FLOOTA for telling me I made a m istake on the name of it..Its a nother very hot day, today, too.It seems much hotter then yesterday to me.The Humidity must be up today. Thank you every one for the very nice comments on my not so g reat pictures.Sure hope every one don't start looking for a daylily named SUNBURST now,after I made such a m istake of giving it a wrong name. Don't know if I can correct it on my picture, but, maybe I can find a way,so I don't do this again.. Yes,I hate it that THESE EYES faded yesterday,as it was much darker purple when I first looked at it.It was just gorgeous, then later when I went out for pictures,it had gotten much lighter in color.I had several others blooming yesterday that I had not toook pictures of, but the sun just seemed to melt them and some seemed to shrink,so I didn't attempt pictures of them. RITA, I see a few scapes coming on them seedlings now,so maybe we get to see what they going to look like too. Jean

They do a show every other year at the Toledo Botanical Gardens. On the off years it's hosta's. The biggest entertainment is getting up early in the morning to run out and pick blooms and then find a way to carry them to the show without damage, while remembering the names of everything you brought. Most of the blooms are off scape, and then they have a contest to see how you can make creative flower arrangements. ie last year I took some metal baskets that looked kind of like chicken wire, filled them with spanish moss and test tubes (which held water, but were hidden by the moss) and filled them with smaller blooms. But it's such a good way to show people that daylilies are SO much more than Stella. We've even converted some hosta people. :)

Beautiful work Ladies!!......I'm definitely going to give this one a try....

Judy, I just about fell over when I saw the log house image that you used......a 92 year old friend of mine painted that same picture last winter.....I liked it so much that I had to pay him a visit & snapped a photo.....that's my idea of a dream home.... : ))

I often use the pic as wallpaper.....I also cropped it a bit & then reduced it to 234 x 325 pix......animated it so the stars twinkle & then used the ani image to create some stationery that I use with Outlook Express.......I'm very pleased with the results & have received lots of complements on the stationery........

Best I get busy....heading over to that tut,

Yes Judy....I just did the tut & saw the small cabin image there...

Last year Mary Maxim had that same cabin picture listed in her crafting catalogue as an oil paint by numbers set, which is where my friend ordered it from....I couldn't get over the results that he got....

I have it as a 640 x 480 image, which is why I've been able to use it for other projects....

I do like this tut!!
