I was wrong. I've never been so happy to be wrong in my life. I had 5,100 seconds of class. It was today. My last class ever. The biggest weight ever lifted. Hardest work of my life and only rivaled by the birth of my son. It's over. Well, I do a have a final, but I'm ready. And life at work goes back to normal as of tomorrow morning. Real live lunches for longer than 15-30 minutes, no leaving early and making my boss unhappy. Normal. No more obscure hours and juggling. Over. I have been crying for hours now. My eyes hurt, but it's the second best hurt I've ever had (of course LF is number one!).

Jan ON, As for members in AK, take a close look at the U.S.D.A. Zone map for up there. I think you'll be VERY surprised at the number of Zones found throughout that state, from the far bottom to the tippy top. When one of my sisters lived in Anchorage we compared temperatures daily over several winters. I usually lost. From the lower panhandle up to there and a little beyond, an ocean current mitigates the temps. The same thing is going on along the N.E. coast of the lower 48. Folk further north from my latitude who are along the east coast get the warming effect of the Gulf Stream. I'm too far 'inland' to benefit from the moderation effects of the Great Lakes that surround me, and my altitude doesn't help either, except regards frost. So called 'Micro Climates' are also interesting to consider. At our specific location, Hillbilly Ridge literally 'split' the storms coming out of the prevailing west and southwest so we get little if any of the rain in said storms. I've watched the radar for over 30 years now and it almost never fails. Neighbors 2 miles south and north get, say, an inch of rain; we get a trace or if lucky a tenth. Then again, because they're 'down in the valleys', they get frost, we dodge the bullet ;-) fwiw! hh
