Kitchen lighting, opinions wanting on Pottery Barn lighting.
Comments (7)I ordered a light fixture 2 months ago and it still hasn't shipped. :/ It was on backorder, but they have changed the estimated delivery date twice already. I was most recently told it would arrive at their warehouse around the middle of December. We are in no hurry, but I really wanted to see the quality. I have never ordered a light fixture there before. I ordered with a 20% off coupon for signing up for their mailing list. The shipping was really high though so it basically just wiped that out. I am contemplating ordering 2 chandeliers for over my island, but really want to see the quality first. I was hoping to hit a great sale for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. It looks like most things excluded lighting though. :/...See MoreWhere to look for Pottery Barn discontinued twin Fern bedding??
Comments (8)Thanks everyone! I completely forgot about the possibility of outlets, so thank you so much, Patty! Unfortunately, I called them all this evening; no one has anything left, and hasn't for about 6 months. I've learned this was discontinued a year or more ago. : ( Live wire, if the kings were reasonable on Ebay, I would although I don't think my efforts would look professional, so would have to pay to have it done right, but recent listings have been for over $300., so, not going to happen, not to make a twin! My3dogs, I SO wish that duvet would have worked, but that link is to a different pattern, which is a tight repetitive/all-over design. I've since learned that the one I love is called "Fern EMBROIDERED Organic Quilt" which has a largely open white quilted field sprinkled with a few random raised green embroidered fronds of various types. Who knows, even though it's not the right one, maybe I'll consider it if I can't locate the other. Gabbygirl, never thought about Craigslist. I'll check to see if I can find the national one you refer to, as that would give me the better chance, I think. I hope others may post deas which may turn out to be resources that might help you, also. Good luck with your search! Thanks!!!...See MoreHave You Ordered A Quilt From Pottery Barn?
Comments (15)I do have one of those "crazy big mattresses" :-). That was why I was concerned! I think the queen will be too small and the kind too big according to the sizes listed. I thought to save money by ordering the Pottery Barn quilt(nearly a hundred dollars with quilt and shams)vs the Restoration Hardware quilt that has a more generous size. Does anyone have suggestions for where I might find an oversize ivory quilt with decent quality that is a bit less expensive than RH? Thank you for all your feedback! Comments (27)If you see a backing on the rug (as opposed to seeing the weave and pattern on the underside) then it has adhesive. The back of the rug is coated with adhesive and the backing is glued to it. That is what you smell. The latex adhesive deteriorates over time (avoid sunlight, this makes it worse). I read one comment about using an iron for creases - if the rug has an adhesive this will melt the adhesive and cause staining and smells. The first 3 days are worst for new rigs with an adhesive, but VOCs can off-gas for years. Recently, PB has started using a manufacturer that uses "synthetic latex" adhesive to combat this deterioration, and latex allergies. They claim it doesn't break down but I don't have long-term experience to know how it performs. It theoretically should have low VOCs and minimize smell issues. I'm curious if anyone has experience with their rigs made of recycled water bottles. They are more affordable and are surprisingly soft....See More- 10 years ago
