Dish Decor for every holiday n season
Comments (8)And to think....I HAD a hutch similar to that in my old house...sold it to the woman who bought my house - cause I needed one Larger with more storage (cabinet doors)... Waaaaaaaaaa!! I love her dish collections and how she changes that hutch with each Season/Holiday...just fabulous. I can tell that besides a love of dish collecting...for her, it's also great 'Therapy' setting it up each time. Thanks Karen...this was a real good one. jane...See MoreTransferware dishes

Comments (42)Tammy I noticed your Herend right away! Wow you have a lot! I found mine for $3.00 at Goodwill- its in perfect, unused condition! I had to google it- I didnt know Herend made anything without the blue herringbone pattern. I haven't had a chance to find a way to display it. Other than sending it to you:) any ideas? I love the detail of the birds. I will have to wait for the end of college tuition before I add to it. I had no idea there were plates! and thanks for the compliment. It is all antique Limoges from both of our families. I love limoges china....See MoreOH no Hutches are out??
Comments (46)It's so nice to see everyone's "out of style" hutches and sideboards!! I can't imagine such an essential piece of furniture ever being considered "out" as an element of home design. I'd be lost without the two I have, they are both full of family heirloom china or special pieces I have collected through the years. I like being able to see and display these pieces because seeing them brings back wonderful memories of family gatherings with those who are no longer living, and some that still are! I'm sure there are many others who feel this way, too. The sideboard in my dining area holds my china inherited from my grandmother and crystal from my mother in law. The one in my kitchen holds the flow blue collection begun by my deceased mother that I have continued to add to through the years. These pieces will eventually all go to my daughter, to be used and passed down to future generations. Excuse the tumble of dishes on the kitchen table - I was going through some of the larger serving pieces I have which I plan to use for my son's wedding reception next week. We're having a small, intimate family wedding and I'm helping my future DIL with a small party afterwards....See MoreUser
