I'm not happy with how the water ends so I might have to play with it later.

I do like the dark background - it looks like it has been painted on velvet.

thanks so much for the comments. It's not so obvious in the photo but in the original painting you can see a face in the clouds - lol it's a bit spooky how many of my paintings end up with faces!! Have a great weekend folks Sue :)

Fridays painting - using pastels

Thank You ladies. lol it was a little like being back at school and coloring between the lines we drew. Peter (the teacher) said later on down the track he will do another pastel class. He gave us all our own set so we can practice and play at home but I will have to buy the special paper if I want to do that. Hope you are all having a great weekend Sue :)

LOL Yes Judy but it's your old eyes that always have to squint looking for the signature.

I have to admit I do look for it too. Sometimes it is so small I really have to look hard.
You have come a long way since that first class!!

I never noticed until someone pointed it out but if you look for it there's a face in the bottom - towards the right.
Spooky eh. It's in the original painting too but not as noticable as the photo.

Now that you pointed it out, I see 3 faces.
One on the left of your siggie.
One on the right of your siggie.
And one in the middle that resembles the "elephant man" with a bonnet on. Side view with the chin under your siggie.
