msm84 (My Page) on Tue, Aug 5, 08 at 0:41 I'm a photographer who downloads 600-800 photos every week and I have never downloaded via the camera. Nothing damages a memory card faster! Its always best to use a card reader or like I do use the card reader built into my HP computer. I disagree. When I had Windows 98, I used to ALWAYS DL my photos using a USB cable from camera to computer with an adaptor plugged into the camera so not to drain the batteries which I loved the best. All set up for that. I had trouble getting my camera software program to work on XP so have to resort to "pulling" the card out of the camera each time to insert into the memory slot of my computer (same as using card reader) which I think is more damaging to the memory card as it is "wear & tear" leaving scratches on it. Leaving it in the camera is easier on the card. I never had trouble where now I have to be so careful in pulling & pushing in and out not only from the camera, but the memory slot as well, which is harder on the card. Stands to reason. I damaged a card by doing it that way opposed to years of doing it from the camera with no problem. More work involved the camera way but worth not damaging a card over. Urlee

Hi everyone, This is very informative and from what I've read, it said nothing about removing IE7 and it makes sense to me that if you would remove IE7 and then put in IE8 and you didn't like it you wouldn't be able to go back to IE7 because you removed it. Hi Owbist, Do you have an external drive or second internal drive to which you create backups of your computer? If so the answer is quite simple methinks. Backup the whole computer. Install IE8 and test it. If it fails miserably, which it probably will not, then you can restore the backup and carry on as you were. If your version of IE8 is from yesteryear then use the link below and grab the latest version. Thank you for that information and thank you for the link to the download. I was thinking if the old wasn't good now, then I wouldn't want to download that one and start with a new one. Your link will be very helpful. No I don't have an external hard drive, I've looked them up but, didn't know which one was the best one to get or how large of a one I would need. My windows 7 did not come with an email program. I just looked through my programs and there is something called windows mail, but there is no email software in the folder. I had to download my email and it had that huge tool bar on top like word has and I hated it. I finally set up the quick access bar and that worked for me. A few months back I reformatted and could not find what I had been using. I found windows live mail and it was very much like OE. I can add background music in it.
