I've been there several times and LOVE it! I posted a link a long time ago so it's nice to see it referenced again. Actually, they aren't all wood wood carvings. What Bruno does is find interesting bits of wood and adds clay to them. Bruno is a sweetheart! He's let us watch him work and gives tours of his studio. I also see him every so often at the local flea markets. Marysville is a beautiful town and I even once asked DH if we could move there - it looks like the eastern part of Pennsylvania, very wooded. He's an amazing artist and always adding to his 'garden'. You can spend the whole day there; it's just that peaceful. I've never been there when there were people about so usually me & DH have the whole place to ourselves. Magical.

Gerald... right names but wrong epic. That is Krishna and Arjuna riding in to battle against the Kauravas (Arjuna's cousins). However, its not from the Ramayana but from the Mahabharata. This is a scene which is often depicted in paintings and sculptures because this is when Krishna acting as Arjuna's charioteer delivers what is now known as the 'Bhagwad Gita'. Arjuna was having second thoughts and regrets about fighting against his cousins but Krishna gives him a lot of advice about doing one's duty and not letting sentiment or anything else come in the way of that. Beautiful piece of work, Gerald. Must say its intriguing to see a Balinese twist to an Indian story.(I'm talking about the clothes, etc.)

Not a penny toy as they were tin,& not more than 5 in tall. reread it-sorry, it looks more like a bank, does it have a slot for money anywhere? Otherwise I don't have any listing for animated toys or wooden. Does look German tho. Might try Googling"German antique animated wooden toys" & see if you get anything.

Most likely hide glue. Vinegar will soften it....but won't be good for the stain. See if there is some way you can soak the glue off while protecting the rest....maybe with masking tape and saran wrap?
