if its important to you.. that's good enough for me.. and as you note in #4 .. there is always tomorrow to be done with it ... here is 8 cuts.. since i pulled that number out of thin air.. lol ... i dont know what tools you have available... a good ladder and a pole saw.. some rope .... as well as a good pruning saw would really help ... a second person to hold the ladder ... and the cell phone predialed to 911 [emergency services ... lol] cuts 1, 2, 3 [blue] are cleaning up for attacking the bigger branch .. surely dont have to be pretty cuts.. but it can be good practice to learn how to do it right each time ... cut 4, 5, and 6 [red] .. are cleaning up the bigger branch... so you can work safer.. no need to have a nicely pruned tree if you poke your eyes out.. or kill yourself trimming it ... 4, 5 [red] , and 7 [lime green] .. you might be able to stand in the crotch while sawing ... use the rope and the second person .. hold the branch while cutting.. and perhaps a small tug at the final cut to pull it away from you or the ladder ... cut 6 would have to be made with a pole saw if you have one.. skipped if you dont think you can do it safely from the ladder ... this cut.. should take off the entire end.. contrary to the little red mark .... i think the final cut [8, magenta] has already been discussed ... you might.. in this situations cut from the exterior ... toward the crotch .. and have to slightly push the branch inwards as the saw starts to bind ... it will take a bit longer ... but you will have to cut it up on the ground anyway ... and it will be a whole lot safer in making it all fall down .. and you will end up with an easier final cut ... NO MATTER how the final cut works out.. it will be better than allowing the rot to continue down into the main trunk ... does all this make any sense?? do any of you want to debate the multiple cut system???? its how i learn ... always willing.. if you have a better idea ... ken PS: under the 7 .. i might now see some branches coming straight toward the camera.. if so.. make that cut 3a or 3b .... so you can stand up there later ... Open Windows Explorer (easiest to right click on Start and left click on Explore). Click on Tools and Folder Options. Click on the File Types tab and scroll down to GIF and click to highlight it. Click the Change button and select the application that you want it to open with. Repeat with all of the affected file types and click Apply. That should do it. Pam

Ok, ok, you mentioned Santa Fe, and my mind immediately went to a mexican tile mosaic that someone here at GW has used in a vertical orientation. This is not at all what you've been looking at, but I just have to show it to you. I love that mosaic, and it could work for you in the horizontal application throughout the kitchen, but it is miles away from what you're drawn to. OK, now that that's out of my system, here's what I think might work for you on the subtler side. The tile below is a mesh mounted mosaic and the sheet measures about 10.5" x 11", so you get an idea of the tile size, very roughly, 3" w x 4" t. The solid color field tile below in the same glaze (light green) is available in square and subway formats in a variety of sizes. I think in order to keep the look cohesive you should either keep the color the same and use a different shape for the special areas, or keep the shape the same and use a harmonizing, deeper color for the special areas. So, you could choose a light green brick subway for your counter area, and a light green ogee mosaic for the special areas. Or, you could use the ogee everywhere, in yellow quartz for the counter areas, and light green for the special spots.

Yahoo! Plus has a feature to add graphics to emails. But I explained how to do the signature in Yahoo in my link, so you it will be there in every email you send out. When you say private message of a forum, do you mean the posting you do on the forum or that you want it there when sending one person a private message. To distinguish the difference, a private message is a message you send to another member so others can't see it. It's just private communication between the two of you. I don't know if signatures show up in PMs but if they do, it's because you set up a signature for that board and it shows in all the posts you make. To set it up, upload your siggie to Photobucket and copy the tag appropriate for that board - either the HTML or the [IMG] tag. Go to where you set up your profile on the board. That's wherever your personal member information and personal preferences are located(your account, member information, member profile, or whatever that board calls it). There is where signature ability is located. Paste your link tag from Photobucket.
