My daughter asked if someone could work their magic on this baby picture of her boss. They are having a party for her on the 7th. This is the only baby picture her husband could find. Pretty rough shape.

Any takers?

Catman - My pawpaw seeds are sprouting! I didn't realize they take so long to germinate so I had just about given up on them. I have four so far. Wanted to let you know and thank you again for sending me seeds. I kept mine in the frig in a ziplock with a moist paper towel until early February (I think). Then I sowed them outside in two liter bottles so they would have room for their tap root. I came across a couple sites that said not to let the seeds freeze but mine did. My frig thermostat messed up and everything in it froze solid two different times. I'm debating whether to plant them out this fall or try to keep them over winter in pots. I know they don't transplant well. Catman - I wanted them mostly for zebra swallowtails but I'm curious if the pawpaws are decent for eating as well. Thanks again for the seeds. : )

I ordered some cacao because I've always wanted to try to grow some. They ended up sending me one more pod that I can use; each pod has 20-30 seeds but they lose viability within a few days of opening the pod so I'm fine with trading the whole pod to someone who wants to try to grow some (you'd need a greenhouse to keep these alive in the winter). Really should trade this week, before the seeds get too old. I'm doing some research on the seeds I am trying to germinate, so if I get more to sprout than I need, I may trade cacao seedlings later this summer- but for now, just the one pod. I live in Monroe and work in Redmond, so the pod would be available for pickup in one or the other (preference is Monroe, or an end-of-the-workday trade in Redmond). I'm hoping to trade for some other food related plants I'd really like to add to my yard/house/greenhouse; any of the following would be of interest: * fruiting olive (edible) * tea tree (like Tetley tea- to make tea out of the leaves) * fig- rooted cuttings of any/all fruiting varieties * banana or plantain, any varieties I don't already have (let me know what you have, I'll let you know if I have it) * bay leaf tree At some point I may also want to get rhubarb and hops rhizomes, but I'm not really ready for them yet. If you have other 'uncommon' food-related plants, including tropicals (but excluding annual garden veggies), let me know- but the list above are the ones I'm most interested in right now. I will probably have some kiwi plants (fuzzy kind) for trade later this summer, let me know if you want a late summer trade for kiwi. I'm also currently rooting cuttings from a vigorous climbing hydrangea that wants to eat my front porch, those will also be available as soon as they have rooted. Thanks, Keith

Hey Bernie, I spent yesterday in the garden since we were at ECHO Saturday, then read GW post last night. I'll read email tonight when I get home. I'll try to get the Nutricote but can't guarantee that one since I'm not planning a trip to Sarasota, it will depend on if Cypress Creek has it in stock or can get it this week...fines won't be a problem. I kinda did that fast like, this morning, cause you know I have been doing my long needed outdoor repair work as weather permits. Wish those chores could be fixed with PSP?

I've got a problem. I've tried every way I can think of but I can't save your picture. When I try and right click and save, it opens as a white blank. I finally was able to do a prt screen of it and it opened. Any ideas?

I should have posted back. I was able to do a print screen of it and copy it into PSP and save it from there. Not sure why I couldn't save it from here. I sent them along to my daughter and I'm not sure which one they used but she was pretty impressed with everyones work.
