Has anyone ever ordered from Puritans Pride catalog?

My mom received this catalog. It has lots of vitamins and supplements and naturals beauty products and the prices are very good. Has anyone ordered from this company - and were you happy with their products? TIA!

nope, but I *have* ordered from the AARP (and I'm not a member)--great prices, very low shipping.

Hope someone can help you w/ the Puritans Pride catalog.

What kind of stuff can you order from aarp, TS? I'm a member thru DH and I thought it was only for discounts from other places.

Just got off the phone from Spring Gsrden.....I made the mistake of ordering from them last fall. I finally got my order for irises and daylilies in November! Of course nothing made it. They cashed my cheque in March after invoicing me twenty times for the order I sent the cheque with! Apparently I will be reimbursed the full amount. We'll see if that becomes a reality in August? That's what I was told. Maybe I'll be a lucky one too. Never any problem with Dominion, McFayden's or Vesey's. Botanus are excellent to do business with. As for Scabiosa, I have both Butterfly Blue and Blue Perfecta. Both were bought at Superstore last spring and both are doing very well. $3.99 I believe for a 4" pot. Ginny

Jane, I haven't saved seeds from melons, so I'm inexperienced. I wouldn't go with floating row covers, as pollinatoras may be able to crawl under them. I think you'd need to protect both the male and female flowers, by covering, or tying them up individually(the ones used in controlled pollinations). Then using a paintbrush to pollinate the females, with pollen from the male flowers. After pollination, the females would have to be protected until the fruit starts to form(so the bees don't pollinate as well). I'd look for better instructions than mine, on the internet, or in a book. Douglas

Yes, I’ve ordered from them 5 yrs. The lovely Daylilies are always true to what you selected, and the clumps are large and healthy. Not one of them has failed to thrive. Actually the neighbors and dog walkers always stop at my house to admire the 30 some lilies that reliably bloom every summer. They’re so healthy, I have to give away babies. I also purchased Veronica, and I have to cut it back to get sun to shorter plants. I don’t know about customer service, because I have never needed to contact them. Perhaps the negative reviews are due to operater error.

Yes, I have. Great products. They have a once a year sale that's a "buy one get two free"! That's when I stock up on my regular stuff. They are a subsidiary of Nature's Bounty - a public company. They can offer products cheaply because they are the manufacturer. (Not like many companies who just brand generic materials with their names.)
Been ordering from them for about 4 years.

I ordered an ointment from them that's used in hospitals for ostomy patients (I used it to erase diaper rash!), so now I get their ostomy-patient's catalog, which is a specialized catalog.

But they sell vitamins, shower caps, etc. And you can get your prescriptions fulfilled through them (esp. handy for maintenance meds if you don't have insurance)
