I recently bought two kinds of liners from Lowes. (to make my old cabinets look less worn out! One was the clear liner that is ribbed and it seems very sturdy. Put it in my silverware drawer, and pots and pans drawer, etc. I also got maybe a Rubbermaid product that is printed and kind of cushy. I put it in less heavy duty areas - my towel drawer, under spices etc. I was surprised to read that you can wash it in the washing machine if it gets dirty. wow. Here is my tip though. I have always cut liners by just showing the stuff in there, creasing it where it meets the wall then cutting it with scissors Surrpisingly time consuming, and not very perfect. This time I measured my drawers and cut it with my rotary cutter and mat and rulers I used for quilting. It was so quick and easy and fits perfectly. Even the ribbed clear plastic cut with ease. Now I want to do my bathrooms too.

I'm in Ca. I visit a nursing home often , no woman is ever in a skirt. They wear slacks or jogging pants. I have 5 small elastic waist skirts(cleaning out things I don't wear) I'm taking to thrift shop Monday, can't imagine having 1 on in a wheelchair, could get caught any number of ways, if diapers need changing the skirt would be in the way. Unless they are in a very small nursing home ,likely the staff would steal them right away. If she can use the bathroom by herself, chances are part of the skirt would end up in the toilet, most are pretty full &rather long, hard to get out of the way, kind of have to bunch them up & good chance person without good balance might fall. I've visited over 2 dozen nursing homes over the years & my folks were in 1 at different times for total of over 5 months & never saw a resident with a skirt on.

Clearly the motorization of the door is not to improve the cooking process, it is a design choice. I would point out that the button is not in the center of the oven, it is on the right hand side so the whole issue of burning yourself is really not an issue (again, this has been in use in Europe for years now). I think the question is how, if at all, it might hinder the cooking process. Clearly, if someone likes the ability to "peak" into the oven by tilting the door slightly open via a handle vs fully opening and if losing that ability is material to that person then this would not be for them. The point of the motorization (as opposed to it being for motorization sake) is for aesthetics/design. In a traditional separate kitchen this appliance would be out of place. Having said that, the kitchen is increasingly part of an open layout in today’s homes, it is part of an entertaining space (in some ways the center of such a space) and no longer a purely functional area. Otherwise there would not be a mkt for counter-depth integrated refrigerators, all would be about purely function and utility. Would love feedback from anyone who has actually used this version, though assume I won't find any as it is not in the US yet. If you go to YouTube you can see them showing how it works but of course that is w/ a Miele pro handling it. Personally, while my family likes to cook a lot I have to say, so long as it works, if the only materials difference is pressing a button to open/close a door vs using a handle it is not a big deal to me. I think the appliance itself looks pretty great in an open layout. Best I have seen outside of Gaggenau.

If you’re leaving it, turn it the other way, do that the long lines of the photo allow the height of the ceiling to extend. Then move it to one side of other to make it less formal or dead center of wanting more formal look. Then add in sleek linear abstract black cats or black wooden candles.
