Ladies, thank you for your comments. I will seal before I put it outside. I want to paint some snowmen and gingerbread men later this year along with jack-o-lanterns and maybe Christmas ornaments. I think colorful ornament pavers would be pretty across the front flower beds at Christmas. - Marylee

Can ya believe my DH (who is not a shopper) sat in the truck and waited for me for one of those stores??? I seen it on the way in and was about to break my neck to look. I didn't even ask him and when we left town, he pulled in and said ,"ok, hon, ya got 30 minutes." What a sweetie! Kudzu, that is so funny! I paid 50 cents for mine. I almost didn't see it, it was behind the little gate when I picked it up. oh, luna, I know! We would have a blast shopping together!! Sunny, I'm such a dummy, I didn't even think to look! All I could see was a little seat or birdbath for my gr'daughters to put in the fairy garden we are making. I will look, though when I get home tonight! Thx, for the heads-up, Karen, I'll keep a look-out for Kirk lurking around my cabin treasures!LOL!! But, ya know, it would be fun to go shopping with him and Carol, cuz we like the same decor, although we'd be fighting over the bears!!!!LOL! Thx for sharing my excitement on my new finds! blessings-sherri

The hostas seem on track. Can hardly wait to receive my new hostababies plus the new heuchies. Now for the VACANT SPACE in the Neighbors Plot garden: I have, I think, selected the mini-rose to plant in the space vacated by the death of my little heather plant. I have done research and I think that Rainbow's End mini rose will go great with the colors of the adjacent Neon Flash (very pink!) dwarf spirea bush and the beautiful heuchie Marmalade. I think I'll be ordering it from Heirloom Roses on the west coast, as they have own-root plants vs. the grafted ones. My greatest concern is whether the mini-rose will get the dreaded blackspot. Here are the 3 plants. Do you think they go together? Heuchie Marmalade: Dwarf spirea Neon Flash: Mini-rose Rainbow's End:

Your pictures are VERY cool. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. We'll be looking forward to more. It's fine to post them here, but thought I'd take the opportunity to remind folks that the Texas Garden Web also has a Texas Gallery. I happened to notice on the Cottage Garden Forum that someone asked how many people visited the Cottage Garden Gallery. About a third of the people responding said they didn't even know there was a gallery! There is also a conversation page as well as this discussion page. Look at the upper right on the opening page of this forum and you will see the links to those. There's a lot of great pictures on the gallery and also links to garden tours. We have a lot of fun and informative discussions on those two forums as well as this one! Happy gardening everyone! Here is a link that might be useful: Texas Garden Web Gallery
