which specific plugin is the error for? I can not read that tiny print on the screen shot. If you are going to continue with IE 7 you could really benefit from getting this IE7pro add-on, it does include some plugins also. It is a very neat add-on for IE7 IE7Pro 2.3 when you did your install of sp3 did you uninstall your IE7 prior to adding the sp3 as was recommended by microsoft? To make sure you have all the latest updates you might need for java and adobe and all those good things go to the secunia software inspector and have it scan your system, it will tell you if you have any that need updates and where to get them. Sometimes not having the very latest update can cause problems. Software Inspector Also make sure you do not have a pop up blocker that may be conflicting on some sites.

Dar, The problem is, you have this path... C:\pspStuff\Texturizer\filter It needs to be this path... C:\pspStuff Mine is C:\PSPStuff\PlugIns because I have another sub folder there. And I don't have the 3rd box checked...Limit loaded plug-in files... But that's not the reason this isn't working. It's your path. When I said in my inst. "So the path to one of my folders and one of the files in it is this..."C:\PSP Stuff\PlugIns\Xenofex\Xenofex .exe" That was just to show you where one is. What I said in the next line in my above inst. was how you enable the path. That was this... Find the path to where you created your new plugin /filter FOLDER. Highlight it and then click OK at the box. Don't forget to close and re-open psp for the filters to take effect. About the .exe question. Most plug-in filters don't come with an executable file (.exe). If they do, then double click on it to install it, and make SURE that you direct it to install to the folder you want it in. Just read all the boxes carefully as they pop up before clicking next. But most don't have an exe file. You just extract the zip file to the folder it's in and that's it, as long as you have that folder enabled in psp. And about having one filter in your psp plug-in folder. That's okay. A few there won't hurt. But if you want to move it, just copy and paste them all to the new folder, then delete it out of the psp folder AFTER you paste it in the new one. Great news for us Mac users out there: Ikea has just made their kitchen planning software available for the Mac!! Check out their website - you download a plugin and you are all set. It is web-based and you need Leopard and the latest versions of Safari or Firefox. It does everything that the in-store planner does (with that annoying 'snap in' feature) and it also lets you select flooring, backsplash, wall colour and even the view from the windows (garden or city lights?). There are a few bugs (some appliances and dining tables and chairs come up as options but then don't select) but the basic cabinet planning part all seems to work well. The 'snap in' feature is annoying, though, and might cause problems in a tight layout because it doesn't let you set small distances for clearances. Or at least if you can I haven't figured it out yet. I guess you could use a filler strip as a substitute, but sometimes I couldn't even find the filler strip in the layout once I selected it: they are virtually invisible and the software often drops it into a spot next to a cabinet edge so you can't see it. I'd end up with filler strips in odd places which I only found when I couldn't move a cab into a particular spot. So I'd advise people to allow for those small clearances in their own measurements and not rely totally on the software measurements to lay out everything precisely.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I went to Windows Update website and checked my history. I see 13 attempts to install the Malicious Software Tool and all failed. There are 4 which succeeded, all the same KB #. All took place on Jul 23. So I guess I am well protected. Zeb, I'm sorry I didn't address your post. When I told the MS Update Website to check for necessary updates, it showed the Malicious Software Tool as necessary and did not say anything about it not being supported. Keeping my fingers crossed. I just dragged out our Win 8 laptop which has been sitting on the shelf collecting dust for 3 years. Trying to get that going and updated. I love my XP even more after spending hours trying to navigate Win 8. XP runs like a dream and all my 'stuff' is on it. I just wish MS would get their act together and stop changing their operating systems and forcing you to throw out computers which run perfectly...what a waste of money and time.
