Hi Jeanne, There were several who sent in yukons, I'm not sure if any I sent in went your direction or not, but they may have been from someone else as well. That's so exciting that you have already had potatoes!!! Mine are growing like crazy as well and I'll have bunches of blues and reds for a fall swap...so I hope everyone wants some lol. Garlic is going crazy and so are J-Chokes - will have PLENTY to share next time around!!!!!! Here's a sad story that turned out awesome!!! Amazingly, bad circumstances with rooting cuttings can be turned around if caught in time. There was one cutting offered, of Night Blooming Cereus and it was sent my direction. The cutting looked beautiful and I planted it as soon as it arrived - with the method I learned long ago. It did nothing but turn slimy and had like green goo on the bottom and I figured it was a lost cause. So I pulled it from the pot and looked closely at it. I could see that half of the leaf was still strong, but the bottom just gave up. Out came the scissors and I trimmed away most of the bottom portion of the leaf, only leaving the center vein or what ever it's called. I left only the top green part and put it back in the starting pot. It has a new leaf now YAY!!!! So it made it beautifully! My dragon fruit also has a new section growing, which has an additional root growing from it. The new one is almost 3 inches tall now WOOOHOOO! I planted out my Candace grape, Concord Grapes and a BUNCH of Pinot Noir grapes. Also have three more types that were sent from a friend in another swap. They are rooting like CRAZY! My Zin is doing beautifully and a bunch of other cuttings are doing great as well. Not quite sure why, but the Civil War Fig didn't make it. Both methods I used to root them didn't work. I wonder if they needed end cuttings as that's what I've had success rooting on others. I have some beautiful figs, Brown Turkey and Celeste, from cuttings and was sent some more Celeste figs from the same friend as the grapes above. I walked her through the bagging method, which she did before sending. Upon their arrival, they had roots already going crazy! Needless to say I have some beautiful starts going! YAY!!! Kiwis are in pots and growing like weeds. If you don't have roots on your kiwis and only the puffy callus and the look of roots or white bulging breaking through the sides, plant them...fertilze them and watch them grow!!!!! For some reason, the roots don't seem to like light. They are extremely timid showing their roots and in the clear bottles, the only ones getting roots are the ones that don't show in the rooting mixture. I had a long branch of kiwi that I thought was dead, so I pulled it out of the rooting mixture and used it in a pot to stake up another plant....THE BLASTED THING IS GROWING NOW!!! I have to carefully try to get it out of the pot and put it in its own lol. Can't wait 'til Mark posts the next one. I joined the one posted above (Thank you Jeanne) as well and what a wonderful group to swap with. Can't wait til my partner gets her cuttings! I'm so grateful for all I've learned in this swap!!! And it has gone so much further 'cause I understand what is meant with so many other things with the verbiage that is involved with taking cuttings. I am able to understand the difference between hardwood cuttings and softwood cuttings and know that so many other things can be cloned with this method. Thank you everyone :) Take care....gotta get back to planting...the veggie garden STILL isn't done lol. Toni

I had to install a 24" Gaggenau combi steam oven in a 27" cutout after the 27" was discontinued. It was replaced under warranty. The installer used strips of wood behind the oven at the sides to mount the oven. I was left with gaps on each side of the oven. Gagg did not make a trim kit, so I had a custom trim kit made by a company called Microtrim.

I'm not an expert, but the Monkey Princess, Bruvver and I always bake cookies. This is the recipe I usually use, although the kids like a different recipe that's "puffier". It's harder to frost the cookies, though, if they are puffy, and they don't hold their shape as well. These rise, so they don't hold indentations and such as well as a cookie with less leavening, but they have a nice flavor: Sour Cream Sugar Cookies 1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 3 eggs 1 cup sour cream 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon vanilla 4 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1. Combine baking soda and sour cream. 2. Cream butter and sugar. 3. Add eggs, one at a time, blending well after each. 4. Blend in vanilla. 5. Blend in sour cream and baking soda. 6. Combine baking powder and flour and add to sour cream mixture. 7. Refrigerate until easy to handle, usually at least an hour. 8. Roll out dough about 1/2 inch thick and cut into shapes. 9. Bake at 325º for 8-10 minutes, or until light brown. I just use a powdered sugar type icing for decorating with the kids, but if I wanted something very precise I'd go with a royal icing so I could pipe an outline and then fill it in. Good luck, those cookies in that link are very cute. I can't imagine doing all the writing on that "accepted" letter, though! Annie

This is ours....and so far no problems. I like that fact that the bins are supported on the bottom where all the weight in the bins "settle". Think about where it's best to support something heavy...the top or bottom (especially when using a plastic edge (of the bin) to hold the weight)? B/c it's a deep "drawer", there's no tilting of trash bins. There's no hanging rail to get in the way of the trash bag. [The rail can be a pro, though, if your bags routinely slip off the top of the bin. You can lift up the bin, put in the bag, and tuck it inside the rail as you maneuver the bin back into the rail. Ours don't, so it's not an issue with us.] mondragon, unlike the Ikea cabinets, the drawer above our trash pullout is completely separated from the trash area by a fixed wooden separator. The drawer sits above the separator. However, I do not put utensils, linens, wraps, etc. in that drawer as it psychologically does seem "gross". Instead, it's our "junk drawer". Here's a picture of ours: Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with either...so get whichever you like. Sorry, but winning an award in some state contest doesn't impress me...I've seen a lot of so-called award winning kitchens and wonder how people actually work in them! Most of those contests are really form over function...with function at the bottom of the list! I also suspect that "longevity" is not on "the list" at all. Your friend's kitchen may or may not be wonderfully functional, but w/o seeing it I take the fact that it won a state contest w/a grain of salt. Again, sorry if I'm too blunt, but I would not use that as a reason to get something unless someone is going for form over function...i.e., a "show kitchen" as opposed to a working kitchen...which is OK if you're upfront about it...not everyone actually cooks in their kitchen...some people just have them for "show".
