I just remembered that my linen closet has the same type of sliding doors. Looking at those doors there is no big play at the bottom where the door fits into the guide. These must be adjustable and I just am not able to see from this angle. I don't know what word to use, but the area for each door to fit into is fine on the linen closet doors. The bedroom doors are another thing. One door fits nicely in the alloted space in the guide. But the other guide looks to be spaced way to wide. So that is why the door is able to jostle around. How hard is to remove the screw holding it into the concrete and then screwing it down through the carpet and concrete in the new adjusted position. Do you need to do anything special to get it to screw into the concrete? Can I use the same screw? Sorry for being so home repair challenged.

How much do you need to bump it out in order to clear your dryer? Maybe bi-fold door can be replaced with a barn door which has an overhead track if there is enough wall space on the side/s for the doors to slide. Even if there is room on one side you can get a wide enough barn door made to open to one size. Something like this if it can be done. If not maybe you can bump the opening out just enough for the track and trim it out to hide everything (depending on how much you need to come out and the surrounding area around your laundry room location)... But when you installing bi-fold doors most likely you will need to put at least one screw into the floor to secure the bracket. You can try and see if you can get away by screwing just into the jamb (you usually have 3 screws there)

We originally had a slider spec'd, but we would prefer to have a door that opens all the way. My main concern was cosmetically that the panels would be too narrow. Was hoping to get an idea from those who have installed or own a similar door if 33-34" per panel is too narrow, especially at the taller 9' height. It's so hard to find pictures and examples of anything other than 12x8 or 16x8 it seems.

You'll need a hard hat. You'll know why before you are finished. (: At top of door that travel's,reach in with knife blade or flat screwdriver and depress peg so that it will clear track and come out freeing that end of door. With your back to inside closet,hold each half of door (one in each hand) and lift. The peg at bottom against wall should come out of it's hole allowing bottoms of doors to swing out. If lifting doesn't pull peg completely out of hole,look for wrench flats on bottom and/or top posts. As posts are turned,they will shorten enough to come out at bottom when door is lifted.
