I also get another RX filled for my dog from Foster & Smith so after this incident happened I called them to verify the pills they sent were accurate. I tell the woman I am going to read the number on the pill to her and I want her to look it up and tell me what medication it is. She asks me the name of the Rx on the bottle. I told her no, you don't understand, I'm asking you to tell me what I have here w/o looking up the prescription number. Just look up the number on the pill. Then the dingaling asks me for the name of the medication! I repeated, NO, I want YOU to tell me what this pill is SUPPOSED to be without looking up my name and the Rx number. Good grief my dog's IQ was higher than hers. Eventually she comprehended what I was doing and put me on hold and then came back with the name of the medication. I still don't know if she cheated and just looked up my name. So it was probably a waste of time. But now that I've read johnmari's post I see there is a website I can do this myself without calling the pharmacy. Even better. From now on I'm looking up the medication and verifying it from a second source so I know for sure I've been given the correct medication. Some of my dog's meds have human substitutes but not this one. He takes the doggy version of Arisept. You may not believe this but they now have senility medication for dogs. It's new and really does work which is why I want to continue giving it to him. Without it he's vicious and forgets all the training he ever had but on the medication he's docile and remembers that he's supposed to hold it till he gets out to the lawn. thanks carla for your reply.Like I stated I knew nothing about things as this and did not want to give him a wrong answer.I did not know what the rules were about meds and working and trying to get hired.I have no reason to think he isn't being trueful and that is why I did not have any answers for him,but being a friend wanted to help.I have sent him all the replys and told him I was sorry I had no answers and had looked on the computer under drugs and read all I knew where to read and still did not get a answer for as days or hours it would take for the pain killer Percedan not to show up and be competely out of his system .I do hope he gets the job and I know good jobs are come to by these days.When he asked if I knew how long it would show up in his urine and if he took the pee test tommorrow did I think it would show up and than he NOT get the job,I just said I really can not answer that.But again like I stated above I started searching for him and found this site and thought I post here.I again want to thank you and the other poster for replying, and thank you for your time.

I have a 19 year old tabby who is suffering from CRF, which I really consider old age more than I consider it to be kidney failure. He is off the charts when it comes to longevity. The vet just gave me some RenAvast. My vet used to work with the Humane Society and he has been my cat's vet for 19 years. I'm going to trust him on this, but I'll update everyone in about a week or two to tell you if there is any difference. I understand people being cynical about something like this, but I figure if my vet of 19 years gave me this there must be something to it. I wanted to post my story for everyone because I don't want people to be too cynical about something that might help your kitty. Maybe it will work, maybe not. But in my case, it did come from a trusted source so there must be something to this.

alisande -- If I were you, I'd go with the cheapest premium. Yes, you *could* pay that $320 deductible -- IF you are prescribed enough meds to reach that limit. (Even if you did, it's still less than your current Part D will be in 2015.) That Humana/Wal-Mart plan is offered here, too. DH and I will each breeze right through that deductible with our outrageously priced meds, regardless, so it may make sense for us too. Our 2014 WellCare Part D is going up from $20/mo. to $30/mo. I don't see keeping that if we can do better. Have you 'run the numbers' on Part D plans on www.medicare.gov Re:Deductibles. In 2012 and 2013 we had a Medicare Supplemental Plan F that paid for everything and the kitchen sink. For 2014 we took a Plan F- High Deductible ($2200/pp deductible) and are money ahead. We could afford to pay that $2200 each if necessary, but I have only had about $300 in out of pocket and DH less. We were still protected in the event of HUGE medical bills. Re: Filling prescriptions. We are fine with 90-day supplies from mail order on our maintenance meds. This year my cost for Advair was a third lower via mail order. (It's still a big rip-off, but that's because the US doesn't negotiate pricing with the pharmaceutical companies.)
