I find alot of animated gifs at Animation Library. All are free....just right right click on the image and select 'Save Image As'. I save them to a folder in My Documents\My Pictures. Then I upload them to Photobucket :D Vera Here is a link that might be useful: Animation Library

If it is a smallish dog I will be ripped..seeing we have a leash law here and I don't own one. Of course my neighbor (behind me) does own 4 Pugs and one of her little ladies is quite the Houdini getting out under the fence- although she gets out it's really not often. But still I have to wonder, seeing this is not just one poop, but one of many that are in my yard and were in different stages of well, lets just say deterioration. Which would mean she would have to get out at least once a week and poop on my lawn everytime, which I find to be a bit unbelieveable. What made me curious about the rightful owner (of the poop) was that my hanging basket if nesting material had been ripped down and there was a rock hard poop on it, made me wonder if the owner of the poop was also the culprit of tearing down the nesting material. So when I went to the back of the yard to check on my wren house I saw this one- fresh as a daisy which made me realize this was not just a one time shot. Hmm.

Thanks for the link; I'll check it out later. How are the free e-journals progressing? Are the editorial standards as vigorous as for the top-flight print journals? Springer also offers a sort of "best of..." service, in my case I chose Crop Science, articles garnered from an array of their journals. Unfortunately, the notification is monthly and fewer than a dozen articles are posted to me with each email. I had better response from BioMedNet and other similar sites. At one point I received email notifications of a half dozen journals from Springer and could access abstracts. Too often abstracts were not available so I could only access the first line or two of the papers at best. Not very useful or enlightening.

I imagine you can embed an animated gif the same as you would any image. Upload it to one of the many image hosting sites and use the HTML code they provide. Of course you can always grab the direct link and use it in a simple template such as this: <img src="URLofTheImage"> Most image hosting sites allow direct(hot) linking, but at least one I can think of does not. Personally, I would, and do, avoid such hosts. The presence of a question mark usually(always?) indicates what you have is not the direct URL of the image but instead, of a page that displays the image, and that won't work.
