I couldn't get the underwater effect to work in animation for the puddles so just skipped that step and duplicate the puddle image so it had the same amount of frames as the monster.

Hi Sue,
I remembered it as being another "Cats" but it must be easy as you did it? "lol" *Urlee running*

Say, I don't mean to sound "ugly" but what do you say we do away with this "Day thing" for the title because I have a HARD time finding something done way back if it is labeled under a number?
I prefer the way we used to do it and put a name to it. OK?

It needs to get out of the pot. Planted now you should be able to get some rooting out into the new site before winter, because other parts of a woody plant dominate the energy budget at other times the most root elongation of the whole year occurs in fall. Fall in this case is whenever the top stops growing and sets terminal stem buds - it can be quite early in the summer on a plant that is not growing new shoot sections the whole season. Wash the potting soil away and tease the roots open, spread them out in a wide and shallow planting hole back-filled with the same soil that came out of the hole, without modification. If the site turns out to be too damp and heavy for a grape plant adding amendments to the back-fill would only, if anything make that worse. As this is a fall planting you do not want to cut the roots but are instead aiming for getting the existing roots to elongate and extend. Initiation of new roots from cut root ends is primarily a spring occurrence, triggered by hormones being sent to the root tips from opening terminal stem buds. This is why commercially handled bare-rooted stock goes into the final planting site in spring instead of fall, when it would just sit there exposed to the elements all winter - without having made new roots yet.

Good question! 20 years ago this month, we had a terrible flood in Fort Collins and we had over 3 feet of water in our mostly finished basement. It took 5 months to clean, restore, and replace everything that was destroyed. This morning, we discovered that a hose on our water softener had come loose and was spraying water all over the unfinished storage area of our basement. Two large plastic crates of photos were covered in water, as well as a some stuff in a filing cabinet, so we spent a couple hours this morning trying to spread everything out and save what we could. Some photos were too damaged to save. We had appointments we had to leave for, so didn't get home til after 7 tonight and I worked for another 2 hours peeling photos apart. Ugghhh. Tomorrow I will have to try to sort them again and get them organized. I would love to spend some time in my sewing room, but we will see how the rest of the stuff goes. At least it will only be a couple of days drying things out - not 5 months! I will also head to the hardware store to get some heavy duty plastic to put up on the 2 x 4s between the water softener and the other part of the storage area! Sue

Yes and no. First the excess nitrogen needs to be removed and this may sound strange to you but you should feed the microbes sawdust, ground up twigs or cardboard. Feeding the microbes a diet low in nitrogen and high in carbon will force the microbes to consume excess nitrogen in the soil to live. The microbes main diet is carbon and nitrogen at a ratio of 24 parts carbon to 1 part nitrogen and the items I mentioned have a ratio of 378 parts carbon to 1 part nitrogen for cardboard and up to 500 to 1 for twigs and sawdust. They eat the carbon and turn to the excess nitrogen in the soil to eat, problem fixed. So get about a 1/2 cup of ground up cardboard, twigs or sawdust and mix into the soil. (you figure out how to grind them up) After a couple of weeks it's time to start feeding the plants again but only with the fish stuff DON'T use the Trifecta! It was a one time application only. Fish emulsion has a 5-1-1 nutrient ratio and right now your plant needs MORE potassium than nitrogen the fish stuff doesn't have, so 1/2 of a dried banana peel will do every two weeks. Fish emulsion has 3 to 5 parts carbon to 1 part nitrogen so when consumed by the microbes they leave a lot of nitrogen for the plant to use. Adding any other source of nitrogen will be too much. But if you really want to make the plant healthy and happy get some alfalfa meal, it's rich in everything a tomato plants needs that the fish stuff doesn't. Cut the fish stuff in half and cut the alfalfa meal recommendations in half and you will never have a nutrient problem suffered by many who use pots to grow in. The plant that has already grown will never produce a flower or tomato and flowers will only appear on new growth so don't worry, and cutting off the bottom leaves didn't hurt it a bit. To be honest I never read your original post so I didn't know you mentioned no flowers, All I looked at was the picture.

Here's another suggestion. When a thread gets a lot of pictures it takes awhile for us on dial up to load. How about starting a new one with the original thread title and page 2 in the title after there are several pics in the original.

I am on dial-up too and was wondering when to do the switchover?

LOL, I have several sticky points with this tut.

First, once I do the highlighted eye, how do I get it into the animation. Whenever I save it, it does not ask to update the changes to AS.

Second, how do I make both animations the same size. My monster ani is too big for my puddles and stomps all over them.

Hi Buzzard - Don't save the highlighted eye in paintshop just close it & it will ask if you want to update the animation.

In animation shop open your monster.psp file. Highlight the 1st frame (puddles) copy and paste as NEW animation. It should now be the same size as the other frames but all by itself.

Clear as mud right?

Yep I agree with scraping the day and using a name instead - it will make it much easier to find things that are posted here and maybe those on dial up can decided when page 2 needs to be started as nothing is worst that waiting and waiting to see the creations.

LOL Urlee you can run but you can NOT hide as I know where you live!
