What is your goal in making this cross? Not having the parentages of either in hand, I am assuming the lines in Expose' are recessive, so would there be any lines in the progeny? Is there a dominant amoena factor in Expose'. If so, you might get golden standards and some type of purple falls that might be somewhat rough. I am thinking you will need lots of seeds from the cross to get something worthwhile. If there is no dominant factor in either one, you might get lots of Thornbird colors. Then, on the other hand, you might luck out. I know people who get great results in the first generation from plic x self. Voltaire's Cloak is an example. I rarely make plic x self crosses because I always get tons of ugly things with tacky haft lines. The genes are so mixed-up, and even from two of the newest and best, you can get dogs. I used to play in actual rock bands where I had to sing, so karaoke hardly makes me nervous (although I'm not used to having the backing band never mess up!). My fave karaoke song was "Be Bop A-Lula" by Gene Vincent, although I sang it more like Elvis would. But I liked to mix it up. I'd do a punk/metal screamer or two, then surprise the audience by stepping up to the mic and crooning a 1950s Sinatra torch song, like "Night and Day". Sadly, I don't have the voice for either anymore. Some would say I never did. I was at a restaurant/bar on karaoke night one time when I had a very sweet and very cute waitress named Sunshine (or at least that's what her name tag said). So in the most sultry voice I could muster I sang Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine (When She's Gone)" for her. Went over very well ;-) The easiest song to sing is of course "Louie Louie". You don't even have to know the lyrics! When did "Blister in the Sun" become so popular? It's one of these songs that was never a hit and rarely heard in its day (1983), yet it's all over the radio now.

I think a very simple large format tile in a light color is brilliant. I just love your granite. It is very close to our personal fave, Verde Fantastico, and is one I want to see in person now! I'd be very careful to not detract from the natural beauty of the counters. Try Jeffry Court's website to see some mellow toned tiles. If you have the $$$ a cool color glass tile bs would look great with it, but I'd stick with larger tiles and not the glass mosaics. If you want to add some "pow", I could see a bright lemony lime color being amazing with your stone. You could also go with a blue/green color as well. That would obviously be more modern and edgy, so I am not sure it fits with your vision, as evidenced by your shaker cabs. The more I look at your pix, the more I am excited to see it all finished. You have picked a very dramatic yet organic stone and it is quite strikingly different than what most people are getting (bonus points from me for that, lol) ;)
