Sale on patio/garden accessories at Tar-get!

I stopped in tonight to pick up something for DH and wandered through the garden section. Pretty much everything is at least 25% off. I picked up two of the ceramic Chinese garden stools for $24 each (regularly $94 -- and apparently $159 at Target.com). So if your garden needs some sprucing up, check it out!

I love those stools, but I think that my Target store is already out of them.
I thought that they would look great inside the house too.

You might check out the Chinese Garden's plant sale that morning. The garden is opening early, and waiving the admission charge for the plant sale. I usually volunteer for one or more organizations, and I often attend all three days. Since I don't have a favorite type of plant, I find it is an excellent opportunity to buy stock from some of the local specialty nurseries. This allows me to save shipping and handling. If I owned a car, I would be likely be driving to visit at least some of these nurseries, but this way, I at least get to see their stock once a year.

My husband did a Tiki style carving out of a nice piece of redwood. It looks great, even if it's not exactly traditional tiki. He just sketched it out and played around with wood carving tools for a while. This year I gave it a coat of stain to freshen it up. I also have bamboo edging (although I put most of it away this year for a cleaner look), bamboo fencing, a bamboo bench, tiki torches. My favorite accessory is my Guan Yin statue, it was a splurge, but I love it! This is a photo from a few years ago, so the garden has changed a lot around her, but here's Guan Yin... I think they grow everything themselves & offer only the things that do well here. Some that I remember seeing in the past are white butterfly ginger & evergreen wisteria, but there're *tons* of plants, & they're all biggies, easier to transplant. Parking is crowded, & you need to be prepared to haul stuff or bring a cart. There's a restaurant there in the Botanic Gardens, never been to it, as it looks like white cloth napkins & waiters kind of place, & every time I'm at the BG I'm always in baggy shorts & rubber shoes! & there's a tea room, probably a leetle more casual, in the Montgomery Street Antique Mall, at the northeast corner of I-30 & Montgomery. Somewhere down there is a French bakery that I *think* has dining area. It's south of I-30, seems like Montgomery (or University?) slews around to the west, & this is on the right side as you head west.

Yes, they would terriks. I haven't been in a Target for a couple months so I have no clue what's available, but we have quite a few in our area. Half a dozen at least. If you have more than one have them call around for you.

Must be location specific, they are not that price at the Targets around here.

Maybe it is location-specific. I'm in a suburb of Birmingham, AL. There are big red and yellow signs throughout the garden/patio department advertising a "temporary markdown". All of the seating and table, accessories, etc. Heck, I got a $20 gnome for $12.

Maybe there is something up in the stores in our area -- a big redesign of the floor or something. I'll have to check out the one near my office tomorrow.

I bought one of these stools in Costco last year for less than $ 20....I've also heard that they sell in homegoods for less than 30$ mostly....Just a heads up...

My daughter bought 2 of them in Raleigh on Friday for $29 each. I wouldn't have known to tell her about the sale if Jakabedy hadn't said something. Thanks for the info, J.
